You get what you pay for
By NortonF, 07/05/09
I could clear see that the hotel has made many renovations and upgrades, however there is still worked that needs to be performed. Holiday Inn served its purpose: a clean room, decent service at a reasonable price. The staff was very responsive to my calls. So in closing what I am trying to say is if you want to stay at a hotel that have given every detail a lot of thought and aren't willing to settle for a few discomforts such Old TV - No RCA Jacks - I could not connect my Xbox, the maid kept leaving 3 sets of towels instead of 4, the phone did not work, the curtains did not block the sunshine to my liking and the arcade was a joke - then this hotel is not for you. This hotel was not the best and not the worst - I stayed on 4th of July weekend and I must say that my stay here was typical not horrible. The location was terrific.

Good location,poor service

The maid service was terrible. Had 3 nights of no bed made, no coffee, no clean towels, no garbage emptied. Would not go back!!! Also a bug in the bathroom for 3 days.

Horrible Stay
By H, 12/25/08
This hotel is a rat trap. The heat was faulty, hallways filthy, The health dept. should close the Pool and Hot Tub, they were disgusting. The room was OK. We've stayed here every year for 10 years. Thet got rid of the the live music, which is why we always came, even though their website clearly says they play from March -Dec. The dining room was closed all weekend, it was also advertised as being open. We complained to the owner, whose broken english was impossible to understand. Never again!

pleasantly surprised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/08
I have stayed in this hotel in the past and had a few issues. Decided to check in out again this past Saturday. The room rate was good. What a surprise. The place got complete renovation from the outside. Got cleaned up, and even the staff was just to praise. After check in they called our room to make sure everything is to our satisfaction, and so they did at check out. I had no problems with my stay, the room or the amenities.

Do Not Stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/08
We checked into a king room. The only outlets in the room that worked were the ones that the lamps were plugged into. We had a small fridge and microwave but nowhere to plug them up. The air conditioner made a very loud noise and smelled as though it were burning. We walked downstairs to report to the front desk about the air conditioner when were were confronted with two very rude people. The lady who looked to be the manager asked us if we had called down and reported the problem with our room. My husband and I looked at each other and said "NO we are telling you right now." She told us we should always call down and report it. Anyway the service in the bar was aweful we sat there for a long while before my husband interupted the bartenders cell phone conversation to get a drink and menu. We had to wait for breakfast for almost an hour after we ordered. The staff were rude and my husband is a priority club member for Holiday Inn and they did not give us the 10% discount on food and beverages. We told them this at the front desk and they REFUSED to give us credit. This place is not worthy of being called a Holiday Inn. It was not that clean and the bed was practically sitting on the floor. No box springs just a mattress. It was very uncomfortable. This place has very poor management and they refuse to do anything to help you during your stay. I would NEVER stay here again and NEVER advise anyone to stay there.

Disgusting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/08
This property souldnt be allowed to belong to Holiday Inn. My 9 year old woke up covered by little bugs, they were ALL OVER THE PLACE. Front desk staff was rude and disrespectful, specially this girl with the red-pink shirt. I have never written a hotel review before and we travel a lot, so you know how upsetting this experience was to me. I know I will never step foot in this hotel again and hope you will do the same.

Do Not Stay Here!
By ChelseaF, 12/23/07
There were cockroaches in the pool house and the whole place smells like a public restroom. It's horrible! I went there for a school trip so we were looking for something not too pricey, but trust me when I say you'd definitely rather spend the money than stay in this place. The people who work there are nice and all, but its really a gross hotel.

Will not return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/07
The hotel was filthy and had a rancid odor that resonated throughout the first floor. The elevator was broken so we had to walk up and down four flights of stairs. Also, the service was horrible. Housekeeping is gone at 5pm so if you call for anything you have to trek down the front desk to get it.

Needs work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/07
Smoking and non-smoking rooms were on the same floor. The gym only had one working treadmill. The playground was not the one presented on the website. It was much smaller and for 1-3 year olds. If you book through an online travel agency and if it states that there is complimentary breakfast, make sure you let the front desk know that their should be a free breakfast, otherwise the front desk will say that they do not have a free breakfast. Some of the front desk staff were not helpful or polite. Hotel is in need of renovations. Hotel lobby has odor.

NOT A GOOD STAY
By Tywanda, 04/03/07
I took my husband on a weekend getaway and we stayed here to get some rest and relaxation. The front desk did not advise us upon our arrival that there was a high school band concert in the area for the weekend and that 3 bus loads of high school students would be staying there over the weekend. Needless to say, we got very little rest and relaxation. The students actually took the hotel over for the weekend. We could not access the pool or hot tub the entire weeknd because of the children. The children also ran up and down the hallways all night long banging on each other's doors and making loud noises. We mistakenly received a 6:30 wake up call on Sunday morning and we could not go back to sleep because of all of the noise that the children were making getting ready for their departure for breakfast. Had the front desk just advised us of all of the children who would be visiting their hotel for the weeknd, we would have never stayed there. On Sunday morning we informed the manager of our ordeal and she was very unsympathicly only stated that "children will be children". I will never stay at this hotel again!!!
