Where the mice sleep
By Kristi, 01/16/10
My husband and one year old baby checked into this hotel at 9:00 PM. Our first impression of the room was it was small, nothing fancy. At 11:30 PM we pulled the sheets down to go to bed and was thoroughly disgusted. Mice droppings were found covering the pillows, bed sheets, and all along the head board. When we turned one of the pillows over, we discovered mice urine covering the pillow and pillow case. Upon further review of the room, under the bed we discovered white mold growing. The lounge chair in the room had a broken right arm that was so loose, it's a wonder it didn't break when we leaned against it. With the conditions of this room, it's obvious no one had cleaned it in a very long time. Our visit was further disappointing when we contacted the front desk. Their only offer was a smoking room, or a room with double beds. We are not smokers and do not want our baby exposed to the carcinogenic residue left over from previous visitors. We had a king size bed and were being asked to downgrade to a double bed when the situation was obviously a result of the hotel's lack of cleanliness and concern of the health of its guests. Needless to say, we immediately checked out and ended up missing the event in town that was the purpose of our trip. Neither my husband or I have ever had such a disappointing stay in a hotel.

ramadainn fredericksburg,va
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/07
The location was wonderful and we were able to walk to a mall behind the hotel. We enjoyed lunch at a steakhouse and dinner at Redlobster. the rooms were spacious and very clean. they had new beds. Our son stayed and was also happy. The rate was very good compared to the hotels in the area. they offered the lowest rate to us. we did call and found it to be a ramada, we were looking at a picture of a econo lodge on your web page.thankyou for a wonderful stay in our old city.

Just plain dirty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
First, the front desk personnel were ok. The rooms were dirty and they smelled. There were spiders around the wall which I had to kill, which tells me that no one is cleaning up these rooms because there is no way you could not have seen them. Second there were bugs coming in around the front door. Third, I checked in at 3:00PM at 2:00 AM I was still awake. Peopled were out side having a party, cursing and more. I called the front desk to complain and was told I could not be moved and it was nothing that could be done. This is the worst place I have ever been. I checked out and went to the Hilton Garden which is no comparision.

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/05
I stayed at this Ramada Inn and found it to be a very nice place. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit sceptical, after I had visted a few other hotels in the area it was clear this was the best place for the night. Rooms where clean and beds where very nice, great nights sleep. I would stay there again.

Through the Eyes of a Hotel Manager
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/05
Dear Fellow Travelers: I wish I could say my stay at the Ramada was a pleasant one....but it certainly was not! As a hotel manager, I have always been dedicated to "Excellence in Customer Service." The unpleasantness I encountered during my stay went beyond the much needed improvements to the hotel's structure and appliances. It all came down to professionalism and SERVICE! First of all, I waited almost 10 min. to be checked-in as I witnessed the General Manager screaming to the Front Desk Rep.! As I was finally checked-in, my keys were practically thrown at me. -It didn't get any better after that..... I was given keys to a room that looked as though it had just been occupied with the sheets pulled, trash all over the room, and the bathroom that had obviously been used. As a Hotel Manager, I understand that mistakes do happen. However, I had never witnessed such a confrontation as the one displayed before myself and a few other guests with the General Manager and the Front Desk employee that I couldn't help feeling sorry for. -It was obvious that the only thing this Manager knew how to manage was the time spent sleeping through: "How to Run a Hotel and Supervise Your Employees 101." In short: IF YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS HERE....CANCEL THEM! IT WILL BE MUCH WORTH THE EFFORT. -ESPECIALLY IF ANOTHER HOTEL MANAGER IS RECOMMENDING THAT YOU DO SO. BECAUSE IT'S THOSE OF US IN THIS BUSINESS THAT NORMALLY ALLOW FOR A FEW "STRIKES" SO.....YOU KNOW IT MUST BE BAD!!!
