Time it right and it's a great value
To start off, this hotel was bought by Westin and renovated. In some ways it comes off as a very nice place to stay. But, if you look you'll see that in some ways it is still a budget hotel with some nice decorations.
The best part of this place is the location. It sits right where 66 meets the Beltway. It's easy to get into D.C. and is down the street from the Tyson's Corner shopping mecca. If you do not have a car, the hotel does have a shuttle to the Metro station in Falls Church. Otherwise, the service is fairly invisible, the food is average and the rooms can best be described as "pleasant".
If you visit off-season, you will be rewarded with sub-$100 a night rates which suddenly makes this place a bargain. Even when D.C hotels are in high gear, the prices are competitive though not exactly stellar. I have been here a couple times, and would gladly stay here again ... if the price is right.
