A good experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/10
This Ho Jo is clean, but kind of worn out. It is not fancy by any means. The pool was like bath water, but the hot tub was not hot enough. I think it was a great place for a family to stay. The pool closed at 10 PM, but one evening we made it back at 9:40. I asked if we could swim until 10:10, and they said we could swim until 11PM. That's the kind of thing that would make me return to Williamsburg HoJo.

Please do not go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
This hotel is haunted. Do not stay on the second floor. The only people who would enjoy a stay here are people who want to be creeped out in the middle of the night. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. They did nothing when we found long nails under our sheets. The place is terrible and terrifying. Avoid it at all costs

personel was very rude!!!! they didn't care if you needed anything. When asked about something they just brushed you off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/30/08
The front desk and the management was very rude and unprofessional. I guess they dont care about repeat customers. They did not have enough room for all the guests to eat breakfast. The pool was so full of chemicals, it gave all our tour groups children rashes and burnt their eyes just by standing in the pool area. THink twice! you get what yu pay for

Unbelievable for the Value!
By abibe, 3/19/08
I thought for the price I was going to stay in a roach motel but after staying there I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. Everything was clean and neat. The customer service was kind and prompt. The location was good. I was near the train tracks but never heard the train as it came by! I was very happy and will stay there every time I go to Williamsburg.

I've been at better for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/07
While the beds and furniture seemed nice, there were cracked walls and discolored ceilings. The bathroom light was missing the cover, there were no glasses in the room and only one cup. The pool was down and the hot tub had a floaty insect. The back steps were like that of a parking garage. I'm hoping they are in the process of renovating because it was kind of creepy.

much better than expected
By rex, 6/11/07
This hotel is in the process of remodeling and the new rooms are excellant. Very clean, new king size bed and a sofa made for a very nice nights sleep. Only the tv picture could stand some improvement. Even though it backs right up to the train tracks and our room was at that end of the hotel, we never heard a train. Will be staying here again!

Great Hotel-I would go back
By LauraB, 6/10/06
I really liked the Howard Johnson Hotel. It was very good because you can buy Busch Gardens. It is very convenient. I also liked the Breakfast Buffet. There food is great. There outdoor pool is such a good pool. I loved the view from the room of the pool. The Hotel was Great.
