Roach Hotel
By Brian, 09/28/09
Seriously. This place was awful. I spent three nights here late September 09. One afternoon while chatting on the phone I spotted a roach the size of my index finger and as wide as my thumb crawling on the floor. Not joking here. I smashed it with a shoe and had housekeeping remove the carcass. Hot water took forever to come one. NO mini bar. Disgusting. Slept the last night with the light on. Found a dirty crusty sock under the desk when messing around with the TOO SHORT internet cord because this place has no wireless.

Great 3 night stay
By maeunc, 08/17/09
$62 through priceline..can't beat that!! Wanted a king but got two queens, no problem for us. Room was clean, well appointed, great duvets, granite counter, great marina view. Non working hair dyer replaced within 5 minutes. phone repaired while we were out. Crazy busy place. Did not try the City Dock Restuarant as there is no menu available in the rooms. The lobby had ZERO information of attractions it eh area but desk clerk was able round up some helpful info. Parking $12 for 24 hr period in nearby deck or valet for $22. i'd stay there again

food made me sick
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/08
I stayed here for two nights and got violently ill on the dinner I had (and I love eggplant normallly). When I asked for menus the next night for local restaraunts, they handed me menus for three pizza parlors. FANCY! Not the best experience for hotels! Bed was dirty too.

could have been better
By kimp, 10/24/07
I came to stay over sweetestday weekend and found that this hotel needs lots of work. From my understanding it is progress and looking nice I might add. The carpet and rooms are dingy but in time I really think it will be a great place to stay. They are centrally located to every where. So just give it time Iam sure we will all have a better stay. The only thing I do agree upon is the front desk people, not the sweetest people to deal with.

WILL NEVER GO THERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL ANYONE CAN STAY AT FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY. I WENT WITH MY MY BOYFRIEND FOR THE WEEKEND AND HE WANTED TO LEAVE THE SAME DAY. THE ROOM WE REQUESTED NOT WAS AVAILABLE. WE BARELY GOT A ROOM WITH AN AC BECAUSE THE AC'S WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. MY BOYFRIEND GOT BUG BITES FROM THE BED HE SLEPT ON THAT SAME NIGHT WE CHECKED IN. EVERYTHING WAS FAR AWAY. I HATE THIS HOTEL AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Not the place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/07
This hotel only has 2 things going for it. 1. Location 2. The valets, even though it was $20/day these guys were the most helpful out of the entire staff. They are going through a renovation but it is about 10 years too late. The rooms were nasty, the carpets were worn out there are stains on the floors and walls throughout the hotel. We were there becase of a convention at the Marriott(very nice place but they were completely booked). I will never stay there again.

Will not return
By Rudolph, 07/07/07
The room smelled musty, the carpet made our socks extremely dirty. The wallpaper was patched unprofessionally so it looked tacky. There was no knob on the shower nozzle so we had to use a towel to start it or stop it. Parking was either 13 dollars or 20 dollars (valet for the latter). High speed internet was available but for $9.95 a day. Local phone calls were $1.50 I got them taken off my bill because there was no notice in the room about a charge for local calls. The hallways on our room looked dingy and were poorly lit. No refrigerator was in the room though the website said there would be so we put ice in the sink to keep our things cool. I though Sheraton was a good hotel chain in the past but I guess things change. No mas

Good Place to stay but...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/07
They are in a construction phase which was noisy at times and some inconveniences. Pool was closed. Rooms were ok but showing age especially in bathroom. My biggest complaint was the fitness room. Although the cardio equipment was ok, the all-in-one weight machine was cheap, out-dated and a disappointment. The machine was more a liability than help to anyone who works out with weights. What this hotel should have is a complete free weight set and know that a lot of people don't just do cardio. For the $300/night price tag they should have better machines than the IKEA p.o.s.. Location is great for dinner, lots of choices walking distance.

Pleasantly Surprised!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/22/07
I was surprised after reading the negative reviews on this hotel. My husband, aunt, uncle and I stayed here for the Chesapeake Bay Wine Tasting. We had joining rooms, non-smoking, king size beds with waterfront view. The rooms were spacious, clean and smelled good. The only negative thing I would say is the front desk held us to the 4pm check in, although they did accommodate us with the valet keeping our luggage! I would definitely stay here again.

Needs Improvement
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
Although this hotel is in an excellent location, you may want to look elsewhere if quality is more important to you. The hallways and rooms are a bit worn out and need to be updated. The rugs are real mess throughout. Parking is off-site for $12 per night ($20 valet). Maid service arrived at my room at 4:40PM.... AFTER I returned from work! And a plumbing issue I complained about was never addressed. This hotel still charge $10 per day for highspeed (this is 2006, correct?) When returning to the area I will look elsewhere.
