The staff here is very helpful and kind. I always stay here to catch the morning trains, and they provide transport there.

when i arrived at the hotel with my groep of 44 people they sent 1 baggage handler out and he looked dirty. on the third floor in room301 there was mold on the top wall and the ice machine did not work on 3,4,or 5th floor and the i made my way to work out room and it only had 3 work out machines and 1 worked and the pool was very dirtyand then when we woke for our all american breakfast it was only grits eggs and rolls and the staff very unpleasent i would not recommend this hotel .

This place was disgusting! I got in at 1130 p.m. I changed and was going straight to bed when I lifted the sheets to find hair all in my bed. I gathered my things and went downstairs to complain. They quickly moved me to a second room which also had hair in the bed. They then moved me to a suite which not only had hair on the sheets but all over the pillow cases. They then sent me up another set of sheets and one pillow (w/o a pillow case on it). The pillow had hair on it and they didn't even make the bed. I walked into the bathroom to find that the sink did not work and that there was hair in the shower and on the floor. The carpet in the rooms and hallways look like it hasnt been vacuum in weeks. This hotel is not up to Holiday inn Standards. To top it all off the next morning there was a gnat in my food. I waited 30 mins for the manager to get there and he didn't even apologize he just refunded my money and didn't say much. I will be making a complaint to the health department!

This hotel was not up to Holiday Inn quality. There were renovations going on throughout the floor we were staying on. We were supposed to have king beds and we got double beds. We were supposed to have non-smoking rooms and one our rooms smelled of smoke. We asked the front desk to clean the room. They stated they would and they did not. Two of the rooms lost electricity. A jackhammer was going off at 6:00am one morning. The front desk clerk was cursing at a customer as we were walking through the lobby. The bar and lounge area was open to the lobby making the lobby area smell of smoke. The overall appearance inside the hotel was filthy and looked as though it had not been cleaned.

Diry, outdated rooms. Misleading advertising/staff. I was told that I reserved a king suite only to find out, upon arrival, that there are no king sized beds in the suites. Couldn't even get extra pillows. Be careful!

When coming to Richmond, I find staying here is always a pleasurable experience. The hotel is older, but the service makes up for it. The location is perfect for me and throoms although in need of some maintenance are always very clean.

1st week of August, 2005. Hope this will be helpful. Nice employees and great having a computer online in the lobby! Elevators are quick. Pool temperature was great! Ice machines on floors 7 and 6 were not working. Room on 7th floor had a slight moldy odor when we arrived. TV had cable connection, but some of the channel reception was only fair to poor. Went for continental breakfast one morning and opened a little plastic butter tub to find black hair-like mold in it.

I do think that the hotel was very pleasant. Erika was very helpful with our reservastions and when we checked in she was there to greet us in the most appropriate way. She had everything ready and acurrate. My husband and I stay there on a weekly basis and everyone makes us feel like we are at home. If you need a home away from home stay here.

The best customer service around. Will be booking many dates with them! Their sales staff were helpful and polite. It's wonderful to walk around and be greeted so politely! It was a great overall experience.

This hotel's staff is extremely friendly and professional. As a parent actively involved in traveling with our daughter's color guard team, we have stayed at many different hotels and this place was the best. Mark Jones, the Sales Manager that booked our group, provided personalized service above and beyond any of our wildest expectations. He even came into the hotel at 4:30 A.M. on two days to ensure that our team had breakfast before going to their competition. I highly reccomend this hotel for any traveler to the Richmond area.
