Wilburton Inn, Manchester

This is a very queer place owned and operated by a very strange Doctor who has some bizarre theories and conceptualizes them through "sculptures" (actually, junk) all over the property. We didn't actually stay in the Inn; but, our group of 20 stayed in the house on the same property adjoining their organic farm. This place called Teleon Holon is filled with bizarre art work and needs a good cleaning. All the furnishings on the first floor were shabby, musty, and obviously hadn't been steam cleaned in many years. The biggest disappointment was the tiny, ill equipped kitchen we had access to as the REAL kitchen had been taken over by the owner's son to process the farm's vegetables. This was extremely problematic as we are a large family who likes to cook elaborate meals during these yearly reunions. It was also annoying to have other people using the large kitchen all day, making noise, and frequently wandering into our space. Manchester is a lovely town; but, stay somewhere else.

I liked the area. Rustic manchester with great shopping. But, BEWARE this hotel. I woke up with bites all over me, and the help was horrid. Rethink going here.

we loved the atmosphere, the grand mansion, the elegance of the grounds, the wonderful art, and the warmth of the innkeepers. the setting is incredible, high above a beautiful valley and just a little bit outside of town. highly recommended.
