4 reviews for Northern Lights Lodge, Stowe
fantastic service, great ambiance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/08
We stayed Christmas week in an efficiency apartment. Two other families also stayed at the inn. The inn owner is extremely cordial, the breakfast and apres ski food was fantastic. The kids loved the pool and gameroom, as well as the big screen TV room. We enjoyed being able to BYO in the lounge at night, as well as the fresh cookies in the afternoon. Yes, the pool could use a face lift, but a great place for the money.

Looks are very deceiving
By Bill, 07/11/07
My wife and I stayed here in July of 2007 for 2 days. When we arrived, I thought, "Uh- oh". We drove into the place where none of the driveway or parking was paved. As you enter the building, you track sand with you. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. The problem was that the whole place needs a major restoration/face lift. The carpets and funiture in some of the rooms were out dated and in the process of being replaced. The floor molding was coming away from the walls. Our room air conditioner was not working which kept the room damp from the rain we had. The bathroom was undesirable with spiders and webs in the shower. I had to "fix" the jerry rigging already done to the toilet for it to flush. The indoor pool lining was separating from the sides as well as the water temp. too cold and the hot tub not hot enough. I also found out I payed more per night than some of the nicer places in town. I was deceived by the pictures and write up from the web-site....beware. These are reasons I am giving a poor rating.

worth the price
By esq, 12/18/05
went with a buddy of mine and it was more than we could ask for for the price. It's one of the closest lodges to the mountain and has a solid hot tub, sauna, and indoor pool. Everyone is extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet will set you up right for a day on the mountain. Hit up Pie in the Sky pizza down the road for some excellent food and service.

My family and I stayed at Northern Lights Lodge in july, What a great place in a beautiful mountian setting alongside a brook. The atmosphere was relaxing, the people were very nice and the rooms clean. will go back again next year
