The Old Tavern = perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
The Old Tavern is a gem. We stayed in one of their suites, which was a perfect couples retreat. Dining was amazing. Great wine selection too. We work crazy city jobs and getting away to the mountains to simply relax was just what we needed to re-energize. May go back this winter...it's close to Okemo and Stratton and would allow you to ski then relax in the Vermont countryside. Perfect!!

Could live here forever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/05
My sister and I have stayed twice, once in the Tavern itself and once across the street at Windham Cottage. Both stays were marvelous. I loved our room in the inn which was decorated with red floral wallpaper. This room was very quaint. The Windham Cottage room was bright and cheerful, very roomy. We would stay in either room again without hesitation. There is nothing better than taking tea in the living room of the Old Tavern with the fireplace roaring. It takes you back in time.

PERFECT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/04
My girlfriend and I spent a night at the OLD TAVERN and the only word to describe it is perfect! The rooms are nice and cozy, the landscape and town are great, and the service is five star!! The food is the freshest I have ever tasted and the meals are superb. The free breakfast is a full breakfast not just a bagel. I give this place an A+++++++ and will be returning.
