Econo Lodge And Suites Shelburn, Shelburne

This is an old out of date facility in desperate need of revamping. We were charged $69 for a basic room with one queen bed. Although the room was clean, the carpeting, bath fittings and everything else are old and have seen far too much use. There's definitely an "ugh" factor here. The following night we stayed almost across the road from this Econo Lodge at the Day's Inn. What a pleasure. For the same price you get a great lodging experience, great room, great price, and great facility.

My stay at this Econo Lodge was horrific. I had reserved based on the location, the picture and comparative price. This was a birthday gift to my 63 yr. mother. The staff was pleasant but tried to charge me $100 more than I had reserved and told me I had reserved a suite. I had my confirmation stating my actual reservation. Once that was fixed, we went to the room. The room was disgusting. It smelled of cat urine, the bathroom was horrific with patched holes, MOLD on the walls, cracked floor tile, and baseboard that either didn't exist or was thrown on. The water ran scalding hot, then freezing cold. The air conditioner was a disgusting, dirty unit shoved in the wall that only worked on high and low, with no fan power at all. The walls and doors were dirty with patched holes. It was NOT safe, as there was a back door that led out into a common deck, and the lock to the door was not secure. Every time a door shut in the unit, it shook the walls, and there was no sound proofing. The carpets felt moist to walk on as well. I will never patronize this place, or any other Econo Lodge again.

The smoking room we were put in smelled awful. There were holes in the walls, the inside door was broken, place was filthy. This is definitly a last resort kind of place.

We were aware, because of the low price, that this place might not be totally wonderful, but we didn't expect it to be so bad. The place was dirty, holes in the walls, missing light fixtures, biting flies (!), skimpy sheets, mold and rust in the bathroom, broken drapery rods, and on and on. The one good thing is that the room we had was far away from the highway, so it was relatively quiet. We couldn't wait to leave and I'd never stay there again!

This is a run down property. The heater for the entire room was located over the toilet, so the bathroom door had to stay open. The room was dirty. The breakfast was fine and the hotel was quiet during my stay. Check in and checkout was smooth. I would not recommend this property unless you are absolutely desperate.

We stayed for 2 nights and the place was nice and quiet. It really could use a major update. Is under new management and we saw some painting going on so I guess they're working on it. Great staff, nice, friendly and very helpful.

Booked this hotel in the morning, arrived at night to find that our assigned room was the dirtiest,filthiest moldiest mess you could ever imagine.I would not recommend staying here to anyone. Actualy went back grabbed the bags and went elsewhere. No refund due to the late booking but just could not stay there!

I have never been in such a filthy room - the room smelled stale, the rug didn't look like it had been washed in months, stains everywhere. Dirt and grime on windows, flooring, blinds on window in bathroom filthy. The staff were very nice, but didn't make up for the amount of cleaning we did to the room ourselves before we could sleep there...In desperate need of deep cleaning!!!!I would never stay again...

For the money, our room was very comfortable, clean, and the location to downtown Burlington was just fine! Lots of places to eat and shop nearby, within walking distance too. The pool was good, and the free breakfast was great!
