That's not my hair in the bath tub drain
By Deena, 10/15/09
The Duke would be rolling in his grave to see what has happened to this place. HUGE clump of hair wrapped around the bath tub drain. Iffy water temp, you either burn or freeze and you get it intermittently through out your shower. The woman who works the front desk is loony with her hairpiece and lipstick smeared all over her face and downright mean. The hotel sits on a very busy road and the noise is obtrusive.

Returing again, again, and again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/09
Clean and cheap...and the owner's a character. TV works, showers are hot.

Value received
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/08
We have stayed here several times and will be returing in a week for a couple of days. The rooms are reasonable and well maintained, with a little more personality than the chains. About 4 blocks E of Main St in a quieter part of Moab. Just not a quick walk to businesses.

The Apache Rocks!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/08
I love the Apache Motel! The first time I visited Moab, we arrived late at night and this was the most reasonably priced place. Only a few blocks away from the center of town, the Apache also has a pool which was so nice to relax in after a long day of driving. Every time I visit Moab, I will always stay here.

Can't go wrong for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/08
This is the place where you should stay if you're going to be so busy enjoying Moab that you care little about your room being "5 star", which is exacty why you should be going to Moab anyway. This place is clean and comfortable, but far from fancy, and that's just what I like. I've stayed here many times because I love the character and the fact that it's in a quiet residential area.

Nice little place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/05
Apache Motel is a classic 1950's style motel in a nice residential area off the beaten path in Moab (which is very good, especially in summer). Rooms are comfortable but sparse. New ownership in 2004 promises to make improvements. Manager has been there 18 years and is a wealth of knowledge about the area and it's history. Apache Motel is a great alternative to the chain places on the highway. (Don't miss the cool 1950's indian arrow sign in front and at the corner of 100 South and the highway!)

John Wayne Stayed Here... And Liked It!
By Gretchen, 05/03/05
The Apache Motel is definitely a throwback to the 50s, but that's part of its charm. Its claim to fame is that John Wayne stayed here while filming some of his famous westerns in the spectacular canyonlands not far away. My husband's comment was that he hoped they changed the sheets since then! I think they have... it seemed adequately clean, especially the bathroom. The decor hasn't changed a bit since the 50s for sure - dark paneling and furnishing, kitschy lights and decorations. Our room had a mid-sized refrigerator, which was convenient. It's located a few blocks off Main Street and it was quiet at night, even with the windows open. The woman who runs the front desk (not sure if she owns it) has a no-nonsense approach - you should have heard her with a late cancellation on the phone! The Apache is a good value among inflated lodging prices found in Moab.

John Wayne baby
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/05
This hotel is awesome. It is clean and well kept. The hosts are great and so is their cat Mary. It is not far from the city center and the price is nice in the off season. I would definately stay there again.
