La Quinta Laredo, Laredo

I had a quinceneara to attend that was at 4:30pm, and was told check in was at 2pm. Got to Laredo at 2:10, and room wasn't ready - wasn't even offered another room until about 3:15, after I was repeatedly in the office asking for the room and explaining my issue. Got to room, and it looks nothing like the website pic - old and dirty rooms. Bathtub was pretty much dirt stained. Carpet itched. Room smelled old and musty. The best thing about this stay was the breakfast - if you get to the breakfast early enough, a lot of choices and a small wait for waffles. I only paid $29 for the night, which is why I chose to stay here. If you are expected to pay full price, I would suggest other hotels that are comparable in price. I ended up spending more than the $29 for the night on gas (waiting in my car for the room with the a/c on) and on a new hair straightener, as I left mine in the first room I was checked in to and when I went back about 30 minutes later it was already stolen.
