This place is disgusting!
By Heather, 4/19/12
I typically don't have very high expectations about hotels or service, but this place was just gross. It is clear that there is no incentive to keep things clean at this hotel. The place looks like it hasn't been vaccuumed in a month, and there are hairs all over the bathroom floor in my room, and crumbs on the floor in my room. Oh, and this place doesn't offer breakfast for free. I went into the room that has a buffet, and helped myself, because most hotels offer breakfast and I thought nothing of it. Later a person comes by and give me a bill for 10.00. I don't know about you, but hotel buffets are never much to speak of in terms of "yummy", so paying 10.00 for instant eggs, instant oatmeal, and packets of non-dairy creamer and the like, is somewhat a ripoff in my world.

Enjoyable Stay
By Joe P, 6/30/11
We were in town for surgery at University Medical center, the front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful in giving us directions to the section of the hospital we had to go to. We found the rooms to be quite large and very clean and the beds were comfortable also, the 4 pillows on each bed is a very nice touch. The ac didn't work well but maintenance came up immediately and moved us to a room with a new unit in it, it worked perfectly. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. We didn't use the pool so I can't give an opinion on that. The cafe staff was also very friendly and the food was good, a bit pricey but you expect that at hotel cafe.

Will NOT be returning!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/11
When my family arrived, the hotel had took it upon themselves to put the reservation in my husband's name when I am the one that booked everything in MY name! The staff was very cold and had poor customer service. There were no sheets on the bed. We had to ask for extra pillows. Their were screaming children and adults down at the pool(the pool in enclosed). They offered free breakfast for ONE of us but only because we are Priority Club Members. The blow dryer did not work properly. We asked for a wake-up call and NEVER received it. They did not offer any way to make up for that MAJOR foul up on their behalf. The walls are thin so we heard our neighbors TV all night. Our family always stays in Holiday Inn when we travel, which is often. When my husband and I checked out, we agreed immediately that we will not be returning to this hotel again!

Mold in the bathroom. Room had not been vacuumed.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/10
There's no excuse for this. Black mold in the shower AND all over the shower curtain. Just horrible. And I found in the carpet of my room, pieces of chips, bread ties and small pills so it had not been vacuumed either. Heater was old school and very noisy. I used Priceline and got this hotel so I won't be using Priceline next time I stay in Lubbock for fear of getting this horrible hotel again.

Don't Trust Them - UNLAWFUL Charges- No Answers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/10
Hotwired this hotel. It was late when we checked in about 10:00 pm and the service wasn't that friendly, we were never informed there was a breakfast or what time it started. The room had to queen beds. The one bed felt horrible the next morning my husband noticed that the boxspring was broken. There was no way the maids could have missed this when they were cleaning and making the bed if they. Then we were charged $44.07 on our debt card. We had not rented any movies, games, etc. We have called for the last two weeks and no one will return our call. Either the staff new we left early and rented movies or the people at the front desk are helping themselves to an added bonus. Either way no one will even tell us what the charge is for. I don't trust them I good way for identity theft especially when we have made 4 attempts to visit and the manager is always to busy. Now we are having to take action through our bank. Unless you want to deal with bad service, bad room, and unlawful charges. DON'T STAY HERE!
