Holiday Inn Beachfront Corpus Christi's Emerald Beach, Corpus Christi

I used to work at this hotel and wil not reccommend it to anyone because of these reasons.The kitchen has mold and employees do not wash their hands.The managers were always sending us home to save money.The rooms cost $200.00 a night and are poorly maintained.Shuttle drivers always demanding tips from guests.Front desk staff ignors guests and talk on their cell phones instead.Pool is cleaned once a year.No guest laundry facilities.Beach alys has plastic grocery bags flying about.Not enough parking.I am writing about the things I have experienced from my time here and want guests to make an informed decision.Thanks for reading!

There are beer cans all over the beach,its so gross! My son cut his foot on glass! I wish the staff would clean the beach once in a while! Not to mention the rude shuttle drivers who were like 1 hour late picking me up.

I never had such a bad experience! I was checked in by CLARA a night auditor.When my room was dirty she told me to stay somewhere eles she was very rude.I will never stay here again.

The beach was crowded and dirty. The pool seemed as if it was just as public as the beach. None of the ice machines we went to were working. And when they say pets are allowed they arent kidding... There are dogs everywhere!!! The room was fine, the bed was very comfy. We had to make 3/4 trips to the car since all the luggage carts were being used. The parking lot was kinda small for the size of the hotel. For the price that is asked of this hotel you can find somewhere better, with a better beach. I would definitely look for a hotel on a beach near the USS Lex because the beaches there were way more spacious and clean!

as a gift to my son on his 13th birthday and a gift to my mom on her july 4th birhtday..i booked (7mnts advncd) two cabana rooms(one handicap) 7 double bed rooms for the entire family, and we were totally disappointed. We had to carry my 97 yr old grandmother(whom might i add is in a wheelchair) up the stairs because someone at the front desk gave our handicap room to someone else. Talk about the guilt i felt having to tell my parents we had to carry her up because of this & she would nt be able to leave the room. Then we get her upstairs and still had trouble gettin around the room. We had to take turns watchin her upstairs & couldnt be all together @ the same time. Not even for dinner.never again will i stay here..we couldnt even get management to expalin. They should be ashamed of this.

For charging $159.00 a night, the cheapest price, you should at least receive soap in the bathrooms and shampoo, as well as cleaning services. Grounds are VERY trashy and saw no one attempting to clean it up! We checked in at 9pm on Friday night, went to room very tired after traveling, and no soaps in the bathroom. Called guest services, never responded. Placed Do Not disturb on door, and since this was a handicapped room, equipped with doorbell/buzzer outside, kids running up and down the halls felt compelled to keep ringing the bell. Next day, up and out and about sight-seeing, back in room at 945PM, ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED!!! Called guest services, they said they would be "right-up"...30 minutes later, called back and they said they would be 'right-up'. Finally got soap and towels. Showered and went to bed, party started in room next door, and they kept trying to open the adjoining door. Called guest services, they said they would send Security 'right-away'....kids kept partying. The room shows to have refrig and microwave on site, nothing we arrived in room. I told the Asst Mgr upon check-out, I would not be coming back to this hotel. The ONLY thing going for this hotel is the location, on the beach. But the beach is so trashy. My boyfriend and I had a great weekend IN SPITE of the Holiday Inn.

The service was terrible, from the front desk to the resteraunt! The room was pretty dirty and housekeeping did not once come to tidy up. We ate at the resteraunt several times. We ordered kids meals for the children and they took almost 45 minutes to bring them breakfast even though they were serving the same food on the buffet. By that time we were through eating. The food was awful and expensive. The hallways were constantly wet. The beach was filthy and the water was full of trash. We actually went to the beach in front of another hotel because it was cleaner. We will not stay here again.

Will NOT stay here again! After a long day we decided to walk the beach at the hotel. It was COVERED in trash and the tide was coming in and no one bothered to clean it up! It really made me sad to see all that garbage being washed away! I am 6 months pregnant with twins and wanted to try and pick some of it up myself but there was so much of it. Also, some of the other guests allowed there children to run wild! We were woke up LATE at night by children running the halls knocking on doors. I know that wasn't the hotel's fault except for the fact that they told us they were going to send security to check on the situation and no one ever showed up. It happened on several occasions and they still never sent anyone. Also, I know they are a pet friendly hotel but my parents were at another end of the hotel and had to deal with dogs barking nonstop that night and nothing was done either. The room seemed clean and the breakfast buffet was OK but other then that they don't seem to care about there guests or their beaches. The only thing that I was happy about was the fact we were just staying for 1 night!

This was our first stay and it was okay. We went during Spring Break, our room was nice and comfy but the indoor pool was very packed and dirty. I would probably not stay again.

Well, it looks great from the outside, but let me tell yeah, the staff is less than accomoadating. They treated us like we had a privlidge to stay there, even though I was paying for a corner room witha view at $180 a night! The indoor pool is a great idea, but crowded with locals who stay there and is not the cleanest pool around. The Spa is always crowded adn dirty. The Caban bar outside was pretty cool, but bad service. The beach is really small, but they do have jet ski rentals there which is nice. The resturaunt was the worst experience of all. Dead. you could hear a pin drop. The service is not what it should be for that kind of Hotel and the food is a C+ . They close it too early and open it too late. Other than that its OK. But there are better and nicer Hotels in the area. Raddisson on the beach is a good one
