Clean BUT....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/09
Room was Clean but....We paid CASH when we checked in and they REFUSED to give me a receipt until I checked out. You guessed it.....when we checked out they said we owed $$$$. Would not stay here again because of this silly rule.

Ok for the price...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/09
The Hotel was clean, sheets were clean and the tub was spotless. Very generous breakfast. We had an air conditioner problem, it was fixed immediately. Service not so hot after the day shift leaves. Day shift was very helpful. Don't bring an entire softball team there, they can't handle more than one person being in the lobby. Hospitality is a service, I suggest classes for the night staff.

Don't Recomend it
By Steve O, 07/30/08
We sent three employees to college station for a week of training at Tx A & M and they reported back, Birds nesting in a/c , roaches in the rooms, smelled like mold smelled like sewer on the 1 st floor, no fire sprinklers even on upper floors unconfortable beds, poor bedding, hear the toilet next door flush as well as whatever else the neighbor may be doing. The hotel needs updating. It was not a pleasant stay. We don't plan on sending any more of our employees there.

Very Average
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/07
This is a $65 per night hotel that gives you $65 worth and no frills. Positives were: Very generous breakfast of eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal & friut, rooms were clean. Nice pool area. Problems. All ice machine were out of service for our stay, coke machines were .75 cents and the dollar changer was broken, so you had to go to desk for change, they were very stingy with extra pillows until I reminded them of their guaranteed satisfaction or free nights, they found pillows they told me they did not have. Overall I would likely stay again, but do not expect perfection. It is a $65 hotel and nothing more.

Not right for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
I paid $70 (excluding tax) for a room for one night. The service was OK, nothing out of the ordinary, they didn't have much to offer. The room was a good size, but the bed sheets were a bit damp, so sleeping was not very comfortable. The locations was good as it is along Highway 6, just that it is kind of hidden in the back. It was an average hotel and didn't offer anything spectacular, and yet the price left much to be judged. It was too expensive for a hotel of that quality, maybe $50/night (excluding tax) would have made it more feasible to stay in.

I will never go back!!!!!!
By The Dude, 05/23/05
My fiance proposed to me here and that was great, but he had a suite booked for a month. The day of the proposal the suite was occupied by a regular guest who had decided to stay another evening.Giving us a regular room, they allowed the guest to stay in our room. They did nothing to compensate for the inconvience. The room service was horrible. The staff was not properly trained in customer service. I felt ripped off on supposed to be the best night of my life.

That 70s show
By Brenda, 05/03/05
I think being the year 2005 hotels could be updated. This hotel clearly knows that being so close to the college is the only benefit to still being open. Examples are: 3 towels (we were a family of 4) still only 3 after complaining, pool locked up at 5 pm (pool hours 10 to 10pm), NO frig or microwave! After complaining about that not one person called me to ask if I would like to be moved or if I would like a frig hauled down to my room. I thought mini frigs were standard in a room. Many more disappointments but I am not going to sit here all day. Will not be staying there again.
