Big Bend Resorts-Chisos Mountains Lodge, Big Bend National Park

The rooms were not bad to be up in the mountains in the desert. No TVs. No ringing phones. Perfect. The restaurant had exceptionally good food in large portions and the view to dine with is extraordinary. The drive through the park in stunning. The hikes up the mountains are amazing as the climate changes as you go up its like walking from the desert straight into a forest. Its so beautiful. At night, its as if you can see every star in the galaxy. Don't pass up on this place.

we stayed at the rio grande for three nights. the location is magnificent, beautiful, and inside the park so no worries about driving everyday. the room is nothing fancy, had a small fridge, iron, hair dryer, etc. the walls are thin and if you have noisy neighbors or people with small children it can get annoying. the restaurant is alright, they don't have to be spectacular since they have a captive audience. overall, i would stay at one of the stone cabins next time and bring my own food.

We stayed in one of the stone cottages, and it was comfortably furnished, very clean, and had the most amazing view! We sat on the porch and watched the wildlife, (deer, wild pigs, a bear in the distance) the greatest sunset and then a meteor shower. The food was terrific (the restaurant is certified green) and the menu has several vegetarian options. I recommend the chipotle portobella burger highly, but have water handy! Take out containers were pressed paper, not styrofoam and the cottage had a recycling bin. The staff was knowledgable, helpful, and (most importantly) very nice to my little boy. This place is a vacation all by itself!

We stayed in one of the Lodge Rooms on the 2nd floor (room A6) with a little balcony that looked out over the magnificent mountains. The place was clean, but the bed was not the best. However, the location made up for it all! Various animals walked by just under our little balcony. Definitely recommendable! If you go to Big Bend NP (which you should) don't hesitate to stay at the Chisos Mountain Lodge.

No swimming pools, no golf course, no malls, just pure beauty and grandeur. You can hike without running into masses of people.

I been to many mts before. Big bend is such a beautiful place I love driving and eating at the Chismo mts resturant. Very good breakfast and the cabins they are adorable. The stars are such beauty at night it's like you can grab one. I love the whistling of the mts. Great Job
