Brazos Valley Inn, Hearne

Our room was totally unsuitable. The wall unit air conditioner did not have a cover over the vents; vents looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in years. The inside door facing was splintered from midway to the floor; bath tub faucet leaked; bathroom sink had no stopper over the drain. The fire extinguisher outside our door was out of date; no fire extinguisher on the second floor. When we complained to the manager about the condition of the room, her retort was that we didn't have to stay there. Unfortunately, the only option available to us was to sleep in our car. It was graduation weekend at A&M and there were no other rooms available in the area. My advice is to avoid the Brazos Valley Inn at all costs.
