Lack of Service and consideration for Guests

The room was just ok, but the outside entrance and elevator lobby to the units was unclean. My wife and I spent 2 miserable nights there December of 2009 during the Christmas Parade. When we could not get the heater in our room to cut off by itself and we had to spend the nights opening the patio door on & off to be able to get some sleep without burning up. We complained 2 times to management, but nothing was ever done about it. Well, after 12 hours, they did show up at about 10:30 or so that last night to check out the problem. But we were already in for the night, tired from a long day and it was to late to be bothered by someone working in your room at 11:00 at night after they had all day to fix the problem. We were just disgusted with it all. Then after returning home and writing the owner. We received a $25.00 gift certificate for our troubles and were asked to give them another chance. Well, we returned the gift certificate to the owner. As this was more of an insult, and wished the owner good luck with your properties, as if this is how you take care of your customers your going to need it. At this time, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, but the location is good and if you don`t mind bad service and possibly an uncomfortable room. It might be ok if nothing else is available.
