Cascades Motel, Chattanooga

We rented 2 connecting rooms for 4 people. Both rooms seemed rather dirty and there were flies and wasps in both rooms. The rooms smelled unclean, the furniture was old and broken down and one room had a hole in the ceiling that looked like it had been improperly patched and had pieces falling out of it onto the credenza. The rooms were generally in poor condition and the doors appeared to have been pried open several times. There were also some unsavory characters renting there and we were afraid to leave for fear of having our room broken into. The swimming pool was not bad but the management would not allow us to have even plastic bottles of water at poolside, even though the temperature was in the high 90's. I would steer clear unless you are very adventurous. We checked out 2 hours after we checked in and in all fairness they did give us a partial refund.

Very retro. The manager was really nice and accomodating. The bath and shower were fantastic. Roomy tub and great water pressure. There could have been more towels and washcloths and bigger, too. It was a little dirty :( . No HBO, as advertised. They do have Comcast regular channels. We had minor problems, but nothing that wasn't sufficiently fixed. They did have a sign that read no pets, so I don't understand why it's said to be pet friendly. Ice cold AC :) . Affordable. Neighborhood not too bad. Police and fire station down the street. Close to Interstate 75 and near by dining establishments. I don't know if I'd stay here again, though. Some rooms are very small. The pillows were nice and fluffy. You have to pay 25 cents for a bucket of ice :(. Next to a grocery store and close to a Walgreens, always a plus. There is a pool ( I didn't go in it, so I can't say if it was clean or not, but there were others enjoying it. ) and check out is 11am. They also have reasonable weekly rates. $44 nightly maybe a little more for bed size and people, $125( I think it was ) weekly, maybe a tad more.

I go to Chattanooga every year and stay at this motel because the rates are lowest in town, close to attractions...During my recent visit I came to know that the property is under new management...Exterior building appears to be old but the room I stayed in has like new furniture and looks and the best thing was that the manager was very friendly to me...Oh, the motel also has free High Speed internet and free HBO! I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking for cheaper rooms and all the amenities...

can't stay here is not handicap ready.... and am in chair...... never even made it here sad sad sad sure be nice if person in chair could at least check it an i thought there were laws......
