Won't ever go back!
By Debbie, 10/08/09
First room had not been serviced at all. Beds were wadded up and a vacuum set in the floor. Man at desk said he thought she had cleaned that room. Settled into second room and three large wasps or hornets showed up. Man from front desk came and killed them and left a fly swatter for us to use in case we needed it. At 3:00 a.m. , I awoke to being buzz bombed by more of them. A total of seven in the room. I demanded a new room. I walked across a dark parking lot to get a new room key. After a long night and not much rest,we woke up to one in the bathroom behind the toilet. I got ready to take a shower and hopped in and there was one in the shower. Needless to say, I skipped the shower. While packing our vehicle, I talked to a couple of the neighbors to see if they had that problem. A man told me that he had three in his room and they were hornets and another couple had two in their room. I think they have a major problem here. My daughter and I did not enjoy this motel and did not appreciate the management at all. I paid over $71.00 for this room. We wished that we had traveled a little further down the road for a better night of sleep. I guess if you want an unforgettable experience you should stay here.

Nice place

Very clean room, very nice! Man at the front desk was very friendly & helpful. Let us look at the room first before we decided to check in. Continental breakfast at the little restaurant was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent place to stay
By Dena, 08/03/05
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way through SD. This is an okay place to sleep. That's about all there is to do. The restaurant associated with the hotel was closed by 8:30 and we got into town at 8:20 so we were left without food for the night (it is a very small dot on the map with not much else in the way of food). The closest towns with food are Wall, SD and Chamberlain, SD. The room was okay. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were not lumpy. The buildings were old-fashioned and run down a bit, but you could tell that improvements had been made somewhat recently. The bathrooms were updated and modernized. The staff was friendly for the most part. The hotel is located relatively close to the Badlands East entrance (maybe a 15 min drive). The hotel was a little difficult to find. Overall, not a bad place to stay for one night as you are passing through. I wouldn't stay there for longer.
