Nice Stay

If you're looking for a posh, fancy resort head to North Myrtle. However, if you're looking for good accommodations at a great price I definitely recommend the Sea Mist. Yes, the buildings are older and could use some touching up, but our studio in the Tides building looked new. I don't know where those of you who say the rooms are small have stayed previously, but they're perfect if you ask me. The kitchens include an almost full-sized fridge, a stove, oven, and sink, with dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans tucked away for use. The bathroom we had was a decent size and there was room to move around. I have stayed in pricier resorts at Myrtle Beach that only included a mini fridge and microwave, and the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom itself. I loved the colors in the room, very "beachy," and the view from our balcony was spectacular. Furthermore, our room was clean, there were plenty of towels, and extra pillows were available in-room as well. For the money, you can't beat the on-site amenities as the Sea Mist is a community in itself. The only complaints I have are with the beds and parking. Beds are pretty hard and I recommend heading straight to the parking deck instead of looking for a place by the buildings. It gets pretty tight. As stated, if you're a person that's gonna turn your nose up at some sand in the elevator or some paint peeling off the weather-worn building, don't stay here...but if you're looking for value and very decent accommodations, try the Sea Mist.
