Terrible Place to Stay...
By Cynthia, 5/3/09
The Only thing I did like about this place was the view.....It started at reservation time..I was charged 2 times for the first night and their computer was only showing one time...Well the manager was really nice about it and we got that handled pretty quickly.. That was only the beginning..Then when we arrived my 8 yr old found a bag of marijuana in a drawer along with old key cards and CDs..My 4 yr old found filthy towels under a sink.. The next morning I had to hunt down some more towels because room service for some reason never came to my end of the hall, even when I asked her where to get some...Before I made it back to my room My husband received a phone call from this rude wanna be housekeeper saying that she doesn't appreciate someone going down stairs to complain when all their job it to keep the rooms clean..But I feel that its kinda hard to do that when you don't even show up..We went to get into the hot tub and my child goes to screaming because it was like they put a million bottles of bleach in there. When we got ready to check out I found out that instead of holding 100 dollars for a security deposit like they were supposed to do, I was actually charged that money, so they were gonna have to credit that back to me and I would get it in about 7-10 days..The one that I had to deal with about that also had a nasty attitude because I got my bank involved and got my money that day... I was Also told that they were under new management and they were trying to clean the place up..A good idea would be to start with housekeeping.. They cant even do that job right..I will never return to this place and I will make sure it I would Definitely not recommend it to anyone either..

Great place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/4/08
My family and I (2 adults & 2 children)stayed in unit 1002A. This room has been updated as of 5-2-08. This was a very affordable 2 bedroom ocean front condo. Everything was great from check in to check out. I highly recommend this room to others.I would and probably will stay there again. "The Bond Family" 5-2/4-08

NOT TO BAD
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/07
we got in the hotels walk in specials which meant we got a room for cheap price. The hotel has so many things in and at it. When we went their for check in the staff was nice but we found a pair of kids briefs on our balcony which was gross but on of the check in ladys said that a kid called the front desk because he had lost them. She said she would take care of it but never did do anything about it. One night we didnt get our towels til 11:00 at night and we could'nt get a shower cause of it. The room was very nice and big. But on check out time before we were ready to go some lady just barged in out room omg!!! You have to throw away your own garbage.they do have a lazy river there and 7 pools too. Also have a gameroom for the kids and a pool bar. They also have a kiddie pool and 4 hottubs we may possibly go back.

just awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/07
This was our second and last experaince at this hotel EVER! We reserved rm 1304 in march, arrived in June. when we got to our room we we were given a key that did not work. So, we had to drag my 3 yr old and all luggage back down to the desk to be given another key to a different rm that we did not reserve. The rm was disgusting!!!! So we had to go back down to the desk with my 3 yr old and luggage to be given the same rm 1304 again but told too wait for the maintenance man at the door, which took about 15 min. Finally getting into the rm we were told by maintenance that the lock on the door was broken to make sure we wiggle it whenever we leave! After getting in the room, the towels and washclothes were dirty and black, the floor was black and slimy, and the shower curtain was full of black mold. The manager was notified and stated she would send someone up to clean......it was the next morning!!! The whole week we stayed at this hotel, no maid service ever came in to clean the room, and we had to ask for more towels and washclothes. Also, the pools outside were like ice, couldnt even get in them, and the hot tubs were sooooooooo hot we stuck our feet in and got burnt. The other spa was full of little black bugs that were everywhere inside and out, and no nets to clean anywhere. All the managers could say was that they were having trouble keeping people to work but they just had a big turnover and are turning they place around and trying to clean up!!! We actually walked obver to the hotel " The Grand Atlantic" next door and its only 100.00 more, with excellent staff, clean hotel, and the rooms are huge lpoking more like appts, with pools and spas u can actually use.......this is where we will be next year!!!!!!! My advice to neone wanting to stay here : STAY AWAY, WAIST OF MONEY!!!! Oh, and im still trying to get my securtiy deposit back, we left on the 18th of June and its now the 25th......and ive been on the phone for 1hr now waiting for the manager...........

NEVER AGAIN!!!!
By Stephanie M, 6/8/07
First of all when we checked into our room on the 10th floor, we found a used condom lying next to the bed, which was pointed out to us by our two toddler children. They offered us a new room, however the next room had a leaky sliding glass door and the floor was soaking wet. Finally we did find another room on the 9th floor. The room was in poor condition. The hairdryer kept falling off the wall, and the shower head looked as if it were going to fall any minute. There were 6 people staying in our condo and for some reason we could only ever seem to get 5 towels and sometimes washclothes. We had to use handtowels as towels and washclothes. The outdoor pools were not cleaned properly. One morning I went down to the heated pool to find cigarette butts floating in the water. When I informed the front desk of the matter, I was told that the pool didn't even open until 11am and that I shouldn't expect to be clean before that. Nevermind the signs that stated the pool opened at 9am which I pointed out to the manager. This was our 3rd year in this resort and our last. If you don't mind all these things, then this is the resort for you, as for me, I will be finding a new resort.

Had a Great Time
By kevin w, 11/29/06
At Bluewater Resort we had a fantastic time, the unit we stayed in ( unit 720 ) was decorated beautifully and the hotel and grounds were very clean. We played raquetball, swam in the heated pool and used the hot tubs. The prices were lower than most but had all the amenities of larger resort. Our room was great and we will go back again and again. We were close to everything and only steps off the beach.

Really nice stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/06
We stayed at the bluewater 8/19 thru 8/25. We had a great time. The room was clean. Everything was in working order. The pools were well maintained. I was impressed that there was security in the parking lots. Very quiet. The rate we got was awesome. For those who trash this place, you are paying half of what it costs at most oceanfront hotels. You do not get Ritz Carlton service and pay budget hotel prices. This is a nice hotel to stay at with your family. Every oceanfront hotel that I have ever stayed at has a few issues. This one was the nicest for the price. The only problem we had, was that fresh towels were not delivered until late afternoon. Stay here, you won't regret it.

Wow, what a view
Stayed in Bluewater Ocean front Condo 601. wow this is the best view in Myrtle beach. Large condo with lots of space. clean and friendly place, not like the teeny bopper grad locations with drunks a little further north. Cannot wait till we go back
