Designed for families and golfers, the resort has a coin-operated laundry, a grocery, a game room, and complimentary supervised childrens activities in summer.Located in a quiet hotel zone north of downtowns traffic, families are attracted to this hotel for its pools and beachfront locale. Golfers come year-round. Guests have playing privileges at the private Dunes Golf and Beach Club, which is less than three miles away. (Guests age 20 and younger are not permitted at the resort unless accompanied by an adult).Water attractions include a complex with a 65-by-30-foot pool; a childrens pool; a 40-foot childrens lazy river pool, and a 15-person spa tub--all sheltered in winter by a translucent roof. Adjacent is a seasonal, outdoor, 100-foot oval lazy river pool and a 15-person spa tub. A solarium offers a year-round, 45-by-12-foot pool paired with a four-person spa tub. Outside, another four-person spa tub provides open-air soaking.The Caravelle Resort offers 620 air-conditioned guestrooms, suites, and two- and three-bedroom condominiums. With the exception of the three-bedroom condominiums, all accommodations feature balconies offering ocean views. All accommodations provide either a full kitchen or a kitchenette that includes a four-burner range, a microwave oven, a full-size refrigerator, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and comes with dishes, glasses, flatware, and cookware. Please note the King Studio accomodations are located across from the Caravelle Hotel and not in the renovated portion of the resort. Guests must be 25 years old to check in.
