No problems found
By DavidS, 8/28/11
A basic motel for those who just want a place to sleep between their journeys. Clean enough to suit most people. Kids had fun in the pool and location was great.

Badly in need of Cleaning and Renovation
By Dean, 8/1/11
AAA rate charged was $119 for Friday and $129 for Saturday. This is no more than a $79 hotel at best. First, it is old and badly in need of renovation. Second, it was not clean. The rooms were minimally clean if you put aside the cigarette burn holes in the bed covers; but, the rest of the hotel from glass on windows, doors, etc. and hallway rugs, etc. looks like it had not been cleaned in several months. Unless you are really desperate for an small indoor pool (also not the greatest), then bypass this joint. When I checked out in the a.m., each person on line in front of me had one complaint or another. Never again.

Don't
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/11
No hot water on the weekend - cold showers - they were full, and at first they said it was a problem with the hot water tank - come to find out, the hot water tank isn't large enough when all rooms are booked. Housekeeping lacking.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/10
Not a bad place for the price. Hey your paying $55.00 for a room, don't expect a lot. But really not a bad place. Work with them and you will enjoy your stay. We stayed here two different time. Seems ok, yes lights all may not work, may be a stale air smell. Cable TV with many channels. Towels plenty full and clean. May be musky, they gave us a fan and in minutes smell was fresh again. Beds nice, good sleep, breakfast ok, toast bagles, muffins, waffles fruit and juice, coffee good. Plenty of parking, slightly thin walls can hear some lound noises. Heated indoor pool is great and roomy. The Louge was open for the weekend not sure during the week. Had to pay cover which I thought was not right. Cheap drinks good music to dance to all night. Very friendy loca people who enjoy dancing mix crowd and not to bad to look at either. Take a chance you may get lucky staying here. Ask for the Friday night special!

DO NOT waste Time or Money at a filthy HOLE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/10
We just came home from a stay at this dirty unfriendly place called the Days Inn in Danville PA the staff after several complaints stated they would not even stay there that they failed several inspections and didn't even know how the place was still open, there are no working security doors anywhere in the hotel anyone can walk in. The bathrooms were dirty and it's pretty bad when your down at the front desk to complain and another guest comes down and ask for comet so his wife could scrub the tub to give the kids a bath, another guest complained that there was urine on the bathroom seat when they got to there room, wonder how hosekeeping missed that one guess they never checked the bathroom. We had asked for a fridge and when we got to the room there was no fridge. The cleaning lady had to carry it from one room to the other. Then when we got moved to A different room *for the 3rd time* my husband had to carry it from one room that was on the other side of the hotel and to the second flood, because there was NO maintenance around to do it. what kind of service is that?!?!?! I had telephoned the corporate office three times with all my complaints was given a case number and told they would follow up I received a call from the hotel manager and her advise was if I wasn't happy then check out and we would not be charged for that night, gee what a help that is and how nice and concerned she was for the happines of their guest. FYI the corporate phone number for anyone that has stayed there and has a complaint is 973-753-6000 then follow the prompts 3,2,3, then 9 for customer service again don't waste your time or money find another hotel any one buit the Days Inn in Danville PA

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/09
What a disappointment. We travel to this area each summer for a family reunion and were unable to get lodging at our usual place. We figured we couldn't go wrong with Days Inn. Boy, were we wrong. The desk staff was unwelcoming to begin with, then we discovered that not only was the lock out of order on the door to my daughter's room, but our room had NO PLUMBING! We were giving another room that was filthy. I addressed the desk in the morning, where I was told that they had recently come in to "straighten the place out" and promised an apology and comps. Guess what? No apology, no comps. I wrote letters in the fall to both the Conference Center, from whom I received no reply, and from the Days Inn Corporation, who basically said, sorry, but they are a franchise and we have no control over the conditions. My advice is to stay anywhere but the Days Inn in Danville, PA, even if it means sleeping in your car.

Don't Stay here!
By SUZN, 9/19/08
The front desk staff was surly at best. We were given a room where the tub and the sink were covered in black mold. There were very few guests staying at the motel, so why were we given a room that had not been cleaned or used in quite some time? The staff was not the least bit concerned about our problem over the state of the room we were given. We discovered later that the local people do not recommend staying at the Day's Inn in Danville.

What a mess!
By Ken, 5/19/08
We booked 8 months in advance for a non smoking room and received a smoking room upon arrival with no warning from the front desk. When I called from the room to inquire about it, I got an attitude from the front desk. The sink was rusted, the shower had to point straight down or the water ran all over the floor. We asked for 1 additional bath towel at 6:00 AM and was told they were out. A complete mess, the place should be condemned as other rooms had furniture stacked in them to the ceiling and you could see it through the curtains. NEVER AGAIN!

Very good Hotel
For the price, this is a very good hotel and their service is very good. Hotel rooms are clean and new staff shows that they care for their guests. I undestand that it is very hard to maintain 100% cleanliness as this is a large hotel. Mgmt is doing well and my family enjoyed our stay for 4 nights at this hotel. I recommend this hotel very much. Beds are very comfortable if you love to enjoy dance and drink you must stay there on Fridays and Saturdays.
