Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/09
What a disappointment. We travel to this area each summer for a family reunion and were unable to get lodging at our usual place. We figured we couldn't go wrong with Days Inn. Boy, were we wrong. The desk staff was unwelcoming to begin with, then we discovered that not only was the lock out of order on the door to my daughter's room, but our room had NO PLUMBING! We were giving another room that was filthy. I addressed the desk in the morning, where I was told that they had recently come in to "straighten the place out" and promised an apology and comps. Guess what? No apology, no comps. I wrote letters in the fall to both the Conference Center, from whom I received no reply, and from the Days Inn Corporation, who basically said, sorry, but they are a franchise and we have no control over the conditions. My advice is to stay anywhere but the Days Inn in Danville, PA, even if it means sleeping in your car.

Don't Stay here!
By SUZN, 09/19/08
The front desk staff was surly at best. We were given a room where the tub and the sink were covered in black mold. There were very few guests staying at the motel, so why were we given a room that had not been cleaned or used in quite some time? The staff was not the least bit concerned about our problem over the state of the room we were given. We discovered later that the local people do not recommend staying at the Day's Inn in Danville.

What a mess!
By Kenneth, 05/19/08
We booked 8 months in advance for a non smoking room and received a smoking room upon arrival with no warning from the front desk. When I called from the room to inquire about it, I got an attitude from the front desk. The sink was rusted, the shower had to point straight down or the water ran all over the floor. We asked for 1 additional bath towel at 6:00 AM and was told they were out. A complete mess, the place should be condemned as other rooms had furniture stacked in them to the ceiling and you could see it through the curtains. NEVER AGAIN!

Very good Hotel
By , 02/19/08
For the price, this is a very good hotel and their service is very good. Hotel rooms are clean and new staff shows that they care for their guests. I undestand that it is very hard to maintain 100% cleanliness as this is a large hotel. Mgmt is doing well and my family enjoyed our stay for 4 nights at this hotel. I recommend this hotel very much. Beds are very comfortable if you love to enjoy dance and drink you must stay there on Fridays and Saturdays.

dirty danville
By corkscrew, 01/08/08
I went there with about 45 people for a conference because of the great location but since its in the sticks of PA the local town people come to this place for fun to chill in the only club in the Days inn bar with a DJ. Not only was the place dirty it was cold because the heat was busted. The beds werent changed and we had to ask for towels to take a shower. There was a leak and water was accumulating from the toilet bowl on the bathroom floor. I feel sorry for the people of Danville that this is their hotspot. The good thing about it is if you are a single guy there are some women looking for companionship and if you choose wisely you can make the best of your trip to Dirty Danville.

RUN AWAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/07
My family and I were guests here, I will NEVER go back. The staff was very helpful with all of the problems we had. Though they didn't understand that I booked the trip on Orbitz and had already paid for the weekend. They took my credit card to hold for any problems, when I returned home I come to find out they charged me AGAIN for the rooms! The rooms were not clean. They put us on the lower level by the "club". We had them move us to the other end of the hotel on the 2nd flr, the music and bass sounded like it was next store. While I have two small children, they didn't get to sleep until they shut down for the night at 2am. We were there at the beginning of summer and the pool was not open. The continential breakfast was a joke. There were about 20-25 people there for breakfast, there was no seating and most of the food was gone if you weren't down there as soon as it opened up.

Filthy Hotel
By stacy, 08/25/07
Mold on pool deck, pool water so cloudy I would not trust that it is healthy. Especially the way the other parts of the hotel are maintaned. I would not believe that the pool would get the necessary attention. No golf balls for the putting green. Mildew in the bathroom and hotel carpet. VERY noisy until 10 on the inner circle of the hotel that overlooks the pool. ice machines dont work. remote control for tv didnt work. We had requested a first floor room in our reservation. Check in was at 3 pm we got there around 3:45 and were told that housekeeping was still working and NO first floor rooms were available. Oh how I wish I would have just left and went to another hotel at that time!!! Never again. Days Inn corporate says they have no control over this hotel because it is a franchise.

Lousy Managers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
Where do I begin? There was no room waiting for us when we arrived. We paid extra to have a cot in our room but were told at midnight that there were none left. We NEVER received any towels while we were there. Found out the next day by the cleaning crew that ther were cots, no one wanted to carry one up to us. Also, when the manager lied and said there were no cots left, she never apologized or even tried to do anything. She had no problem with my 10 year old son sleeping on the floor and told me it wasn't her problem. Enter that place at your own risk!!
