DO NOT STAY-NASTY!
By BillyB, 6/26/11
First, we stayed at the Days Inn because the other hotels were booked-mistake #1. The hot tub was disgusting...litterally dirty. My son was not allowed in the hot tub (even with his parents) because he was not twelve. (This was before we noticed how nasty the hot tub was) Come on, who are you to tell me I can't take my son in a hot tub? The pool is advertised to be heated, which is a lie. It was freezing. Our room wasn't bad until we all realized our feet had turned black from walking on the carpet. I estimate the carpet has never been changed. There are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, come on it's 2011, what hotel doesn't have those ammenities? The breakfast they offer is not complimentary...again, what hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast? I know who, the Days Inn in Meadville. We will never be back again.

Won't be back.
By Laura, 10/23/10
We recently booked four nights to visit family/friends and are former residents of the area. The hotel is centrally located and we booked through an online service. The first clue was that the little body lotion in the bathroom had already been half used!! Very spotty internet (by the time we really realized the internet was a definite no go we had already unpacked everything). There was no fridge and the front desk was very nice and had a fridge sent right away. NO housekeeping for the first two days. During our showers the first day we put the "do not disturb sign" on the door for a half an hour. The housekeeping cart was still in the hall at the room next door when we left, taking the sign down. No service. The second day came and went and found that not only had we not had service, all of our towles had been taken and hadn't been replaced. Plus, the heater didn't work well. I really am not the type to complain and have stayed in rooms all over the world. When we checked in the desk should have inquired as to wanting internet and a fridge. Maybe it was because we booked a cheaper rate online? Don't know but unless there is an emergency we won't stay there again.

my family and I had a great stay
By pam, 8/23/10
My family and I recently stayed here basically because it was in a central area to Pymatuning and Erie where we planned to visit. I had read all the reviews but thought oh well maybe these people have impossibly high standards and they are the only place in meadville with a pool! Well we were pleasantly surprised! Yes the hotel is older and shows wear but we found it to be very clean and odorless. The front desk clerk was very nice. I had only booked one night due to the negative reviews but the following morning after our first nights stay I went to the front desk and booked another night there after all. Granted I can't comment on most of the amenities because we only used the pool and hot tub but they were both clean and we enjoyed them both nights of our stay. If I had to find fault in anything I would say the air conditioning in our room was not cooling well but it kept the room comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

Terrible
By Adam Bomb, 7/20/10
We stayed here 2 weeks and had used sheets from the couple before us not to mention the pool is cloudy and was never cleaned, Thank god we didnt pay for our stay but I am afraid I got a disease while sleeping in the bed and swimming in the pool. I have never seen anything like this. The 3-11 clerk at the desk is mean and hates people I hope that changes will be made....

not worth it for the pool
By Z, 3/6/10
I didn't bother reading any reviews for this place as it's the only place to stay in Meadville, PA with a pool. I had no issues with my room, other than I've paid half the price for better service & amenities. The carpet in the pool room was freezing cold and wet, and though the pool was heavenly warm, the blue walls/floor had black stains. Walking the hall to the pool was icy cold ..walking back was freezingTORTURE. May as well have been outside. They boast an exercise room & sauna. Sauna was out of order. Ice machine was out of order. Hot tub was fine the 1st day, then out of order. The restaurant/lounge sounded nice despite the limited hours, but when I called for room service, they said they were already closed at 8pm (when they open at 5pm) The lobby had a nice waterfall, fireplace, & piano.. however the computer for everyone to access had a virus, (It just kept popping up that it had a lot of viruses) and nothing would open. I stayed 3 nights for $301, and it wasn't worth it at all.....I feel it was worth half the price.

Would never stay here again in my life!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/22/08
This hotel was definitely the most sorry hotel that I have ever stayed at. I am a traveling businessman, so you can just imagine the kinds of hotels that I am sometimes set up in. This Meadville area Days Inn was filthy and the staff were extremely rude. To begin with, I walked in to the front desk only to meet an extremely ignortant front desk sales clerk who was obviously more interested in talking on her cell phone and making dirty jokes than to help me out. Then, as I proceeded to my room, I saw the same front desk clerk on her way with another sales clerk to go smoke. Very unattracitve! When I got into my room I was glad that the room was clean and tidy. I decided to go swimming; bad idea! The pool looked and smelled as if it had not been cleaned in atleast a year. I am not a picky person but I was absolutely appauled at many of the things that I witnessed while I stayed at the Days Inn. I then asked to talk to the owner, where I waited at the front desk for about 30 mins. After waiting for that amount of time, which I thought was completely out of hand, I decided to just check out and find somewhere else in the surrounding area where I was wanted and felt welcome! I went to the Holiday Inn express which is right behind the parking lot of Perkins, which is located right beside Days Inn. The experience at the Holiday Inn Express was so much more enjoyable and CLEAN!!! I would go there again anyday over the Days Inn!!!!

I'd come back
By Brenda D, 3/24/08
I liked your hotel all of the staff were very friendly and curtious. My family REALLY enjoyed the pool and spa. The weight room was less than satisfactory however. For I found the exercise equipment like the Nautica in poor condition. Nautica are suppose to operate smoothly and low impact yours wasn't. The breakfasts were a little high considering the menu choices.Other than that every thing was great.

Sad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/05
The location was nice, the stay was horrible. The first room I had wreaked of urine and the floors were sticky. The second room I had was equally nasty. Breakfast was trifling and the eggs they provided were in a tumbler. I recommend never staying there, EVER.

It's Okay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/7/05
I stay there because it's close to where I want to be. But the place could use a good cleaning.
