Very clean but no Internet
By K B, 09/19/07
The hotel is older, but the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the extremely poor wireless Internet signal even though free wireless internet is advertised. Would stay there again if the Internet problem was fixed.

I'll come back time and again
By Harry T, 08/22/07
What a great value, about 1/2 the price of big name hotels and literally directly across the entrance to the Battlefield. No hotel is closer to the National Park. Great friendly service, knowledgeable staff and best of all -- they all were American and all spoke English, what a rarity today!!!! You can't go wrong with this hotel!!!!!

Will not stay there !!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/07
I had a room booked for a month because I was getting married. The day of my marriage we went to Gettysburg for our honeymoon. I had told the hotel that we should arrive between 9:00pm and midnight. We arrived around 11:00. When we called from the center of town for directions, we were informed we had lost our rooms because they could not confirm our going out there. We were getting married so how would I be at home? To make a very long story short, I guess this hotel is under new management and I did not receive any satisfaction at all. I even spoke with the new owner of the property and he did not even try to accommodate us at all. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone at this time. I guess it is more important to make money than have good customer relations.

Great Location & Price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
I booked this hotel because it was the least expensive with a pool. I knew it was an older motel, so my expectations were lower than normal. I was very pleased with my 3 night stay. We had covered parking, which was great because it was raining when we arrived! The room had ample space, a micro-fridge & 2 sinks which was a must, traveling w/ my teenage daughter. The cont. breakfast had the normal pastries, cereals & fruit. The pool was better than expected, was clean and good-sized. Remember this is an older motel, the carpet and colors, and some of the fixtures were from a previous generation, but were easily overlooked. The best thing about this hotel was its location. It is directly behind the rear entrance to the NPS visitor center. 4 restaurant are basically in its parking lot, and at least 4 more in easy walking distance. Also w/in walking distance of shops & attractions on Steinwehr Ave & Baltimore St. I'd like to thank the Mgr. for helping me through a "mini-crisis" that was going on back home! Will be back next year.

Use Caution
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
While the motel is excellently located, fairly clean and has a friendly staff, our recent visit found many deficiencies. The shower control was missing. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work, the first floor ice machine was out of order and the beds were in dire need of replacement. The cable channels were limited and there was no coffeemaker in the room. We were in one of the most expensive rooms and have since found there are much better options available for the price.

Will stay there again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/06
We stayed here during our trip to Gettysburg last year. It's a very basic room, nothing fancy. The room was very clean and well lit. They serve a complimentary breakfast in the dining room. Coffee, juice, milk, cereal, bagels, toast-that kind of thing. We are planning on making another trip to Gettysburg in a couple of years, and plan to stay there again. The location is also great. It is right across from the entrance to the Park and is right behind Friendly's and Mcdonalds. I certainly recommend this motel, especially for those on a tight budget.

Love the Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/05
This is an sightly older hotel, but the rooms were quite, and the location is excellent. The staff is wonderfull! Having no hall ways really kept the noise down. Walking distance to excellent dining, shopping, and attractions. I slept well here and I don't normally sleep well in hotels. Our room had a front and back door, and we had covered parking. Nice breakfast. I would have like the bathrooms a little cleaner, but believe me I have had much worse. I would stay here again.
