Econo Lodge York, York

Although there are many negative reviews for this hotel, they are listed under a previous owner with the same address. The Econo Lodge in York, Pa has only been in operation since Feb. 2012. The Econo Lodge has many things that local hotels in the same price range do not. Free Wi-Fi, Continental breakfast, outdoor pool, spacious rooms, with microwave and fridges in each room. Please do not base your opinion on the previous reviews, fore they are not correct for the Econo Lodge rather than the Yorkview.

The only thing that was ok Was the Front Desk they were friendly .. Other then that the rest of my stay wasn't even worth being there .. The rooms were Not cleaned right during the weekdays. the housekeeper acted as if they just wanted to get out and not wana clean .. Other the weekend was ok there was an lady with dark brown hair now She was the best out of all the house keepers there that i have seen . If you do wana stay here i say ask for here to clean your room. She only works the weekend .. Had alot of problems with the doors staing locked and having to keep going back and forth to front desk to get my card re done for my room . the rooms looked dirty and i don't even think they washed all the stuff on the beds the bed spreed and the rest.. the bathrooms dont even smell like there clean .. The breakfest was awfull .. just the bare toast and a bagel and oj.. they even had to have some one go out an get stuff causse they weren't stocked up .. i would say find another hotel to stay at.. this isn't even worth it to check in . Even the rest of the hotel isn't even open only one part of it is and there having problems now with just keeping that much mantained ... If you wana waste your money then go for it an stay here . im not ..

Location was o.k. Cleanliness was o.k. Continental breakfast was nondescript. BUT- their computer was not working and although we stayed but one night, my credit card statement which I received two months later billed me for three nights. This is now in dispute.

I enjoyed my stay at the York View Hotel. Ever since the new ownership took over I have had no problems with rooms being dirty, sloppy or smelly. 2 thumbs up to the new ownership, keep up the excellent work. Customer Service was excellent, very courteous and polite.

hated the place,rooms were dingy,no towels,soap was used,we changed rooms three times ,each one smelled worse, keys did not work, breakfast was toast and bagels,juice was watered down,will not ever stay at another days inn.want my money back. booked online at one price,tried to charge higher price at check in

We had a block of 12 rooms reserved. We checked into our rooms and found blood splatters on the sheets and you could tell the bedding had not been changed. Ther was urine all over the toilet seats and used kleenex laying on the dresser. We checked out 10 minutes after we checked in. You be better off buying a tent.

Let's just say it is a place to sleep! But not on the backside of the building with the freeway noise. It was close to the freeway, but sleeping with a pillow over your head to drown out the noise, is not sleeping. The internet connection was okay, you have to call the front desk to get the password.

Terrible service, bad attidtude on the part of management, filthy condidtions I could go on and on! We stayed here with a softball team that included 10 families and paid for the 10 rooms with team funds which two weeks later I still cannot get straightened out. In addition to our stay being terrible, we now have a nightmare of incorrect charges/overcharges etc, to sort out. Do not stay here! If there had been any other rooms available in town, we would have checked out ASAP!

Hotel was filthy and in poor working order.Staff was either unfriendly or uninformed.Breakfast was hit and miss at best.To top it off, we occupied 4 rooms for 3 weeks at a cost of nearly $4,000 and we were told to pay 4x the usual price or find other hotel due to "special event" As a result the management of this "Hotel" lost nearly another $4,000 in fees to make an extra $400 for one or two days. Place should really be condemned.

Hotel would not honor the Yahoo contract price until Yahoo intervened. Hotel wanted to raise the price from $49/night to $115/night. Hotel also wanted to add a $1.06/night room safe charge, but did remove this charge from the bill. Hotel is a basic hotel with minimal frills. Hotel needs a complete and thorough cleaning.
