WE WILL NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/17/08
NOTHING THEY WERE TERRIBLE. BAD MANAGEMENT, BAD SERVICE, POOR RECEPTION, AND RUDE. THEY REFUSED TO CHECK US IN AFTER THEY HAD TAKEN OUR MONEY. WE HAD TO LEAVE WITH OUR CHILDREN TO GO LOOKING THROUGH THE CITY FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY. WE WERE ALMOST STRANDED IN A STRANGE CITY.

Awful

Service is terrible. Management is rude. Location is on top of the interstate. Rooms are loud. It is old, dingy and dirty. I would never stay here again. I suggest you never do.

Gave away our pre-paid rooms!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/07
We reserved and paid for rooms at this hotel on the long weekend in May. When we arrived there were no rooms available and we had to make our own arrangments (for 9 people)at another hotel. We found adequate rooms after two hours. Very poor service. At least we got a refund.

Could have been better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/07
The restaurant was excellent - the staff was friendly, competent and helpful and the food was quite good. We were very pleased with the service and the food both in the late evening and in the morning when we were in a hurry. The rooms were uneven - we had four rooms, total; two of them had no bath towels (which, unfortunately we didn't notice until rushing to get ready to leave in the AM - so can't say if they would have been provided quickly or not) and no wastebaskets in the bathrooms. One of the other three did not appear to have been cleaned - including a toilet which had not even been flushed and a bathroom with urine on the floor. My son reported that the bed did not appear to have been changed, although he wasn't sure if it was that or just a sloppy bed-making job. One of the rooms had a broken door handle, of which maintainence was aware and just said to "pull up on it, then it'll work". With the exception of the dirty room/bathroom, it was OK, but the desk staff seemed totally uninterested in our complaints at checkout time and the "suggestion" box was empty of forms upon which to report our impression.

Bare minimum
By Peter D, 11/6/06
An acceptable distance from the universities in Oakland, if you're visiting. Beyond that, don't expect much. The building and rooms are shabby and unkempt and the service is indifferent or worse. This is a property that seems to have just given up on quality years ago.

HIDEOUS ROOMS
By lala, 5/3/06
This was the most disgusting place that i have ever stayed at! I now know that this is at the edge of a scary borough and even other hotel guests told me not to expect much after I had already checked in. Thinking that it would be convenient to stay here, for one, the seminar that I was at was in the hotel and I do not like to drive in larger cities, and the fact that there is no other place to stay nearby, I decided to stay anyway. HUGE MISTAKE. The room was very, very unclean. Food still in the mini fridge and microwave, on the floor, excessive dust, odor, hair, and major filth. The room I was in seemed as though it had not been cleaned since the hotel was built! The only nice thing that I will say is that the food was pretty good, but most of the staff seemed as though they hated their jobs and did not want to be there. The pool was never open the time that I was there, but their fitness room did consist of a few nicer pieces of equipment. This hotel is very easy to find, but you would never want to get lost in this neighborhood. I would absolutely never stay there again, even if it were free.

The Worst Hotel I've ever Stayed at!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/04
This hotel lookes nice from the outside, but it was terrible on the inside! The lobby was outdated and dark. The restraunt was too inviting. What I mean by that is there was no door! Whatch out if you are staying above it! they play live music every night! It could also make the lobby feel uncomfortable (because there is no door!)Thankfully, I didn't go there! The room was dark and smelled like smoke. We discovered a bottlecap and M&M's on the carpet. The sheets had a coffee stain on it. Thank heavens I didn't go to the pool!! I'd stay away from it or you might catch a disease! The hotel was not in a good area. Once you go straight past the hotel, thats in a nice, residential area. It's one of the "bad parts" of the area. I'd actualy give it 0 stars. It was 1 step away from being -1 stars. At least the proximity was decent. That's what was stopping me from giving it -1 stars. Hey, they did take 20% off of our total when we checked out 1 night early! (He,he,he I'm just being sarcastic!) That was the worst stay in a hotel that I have ever stayed at and I would not recomend it to anybody!!!
