Worst hotel to stay at
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/08
Stayed at hotel left early the next morning and left my cell phone called front desk 30 minutes later told them what room and where at they told me they would hold it for me. I came by later on that evening they acted like I didn't call. The worst thing was when I got my work # back I had a ton of calls going from the Pitts, PA area code and I live in TN. Thanks Alex

Pass on this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/08
Very poor service, In fact Holiday Inn has taken away its name (holiday Inn) from this hotel, but the property still uses it. Guest room was dirty. elevator very old and slow. Looked like they never changed sheets from prior guest. Had to change room and the one that they put me in had a dirty bathroom, shampoo was used! Bar was closed because they lost their license. Internet did not work.

The worst Holiday Inn, that I have ever stayed at!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/15/08
Check-in around 3:30PM, and was given room 400. When I went into the room it looked OK but then I went to the bathroom. There was long brown hears all over the floor; spit all over the sink and the mirror; mildew on the shower walls; and worst of all, the toilet had not even been flushed. Left the room immediately and went down and complained, got the “oh I’m sorry” and was assigned room 405. Room looked better the shower area was old looking but the room was relatively clean. Around 10PM, I decided to take a shower and that is when I noticed the maids had only left 2 towels, no soap, washcloths, hand towels or anything. Went down to the front desk and asked for some washcloths, the young lady indicated that they had not left her any towels or soap at the desk and there was nobody there for her to leave the desk for her to get me some. After I told her that was totally unacceptable, she said to give her a minute and she would go get some from the back. While I was waiting, another guest that had just checked-in, called down and reported that the floor of their room was standing in water. She told them to come down and she would get them another room. As soon as she got off the phone with them, a person came up and told her that the ICE machine had taken his money. “Charge for ICE?” was the first thing I thought but her response is what really got me. She told him and I quote “there is nothing that I can do, I cannot give out refunds. The ice machine is owned by an outside contractor.” He asked for the manager and she told him that she was the only one on duty and the manager would be in around 8AM. While still waiting on for some washcloths, another person came down and asked for an ashtray because his smoking room did not have one in it. Again the young lady indicated that the day staff had not left her any. The hotel need to be fumigated. They did not pickup my room service tray overnight and when I went to leave on Wednesday morning the entire tray was covered in ants.

The Worst Experience at a Hotel Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/08
My family and I chose this hotel for our family reunion because we had stayed here before in 2005 and was pleased with the experience. What a difference! They were doing construction and sent my family members upstairs anyway with beds and tools strewn all over the hall. When my husband entered our first room, it was already occupied. Another relative's bed was not made and still others had tales from the water running to the room being dirty. The manager was absolutely rude. Thankfully the group manager changed the room locations (we had a block of rooms), lowered the room rates, and helped us to have a better experience. It was a bad and embarrassing experience to have people travel on a bus for hours and have to room in a hotel that obviously was not prepared to receive guests in a more impressive fashion. I would not recommend this hotel to others at this time.

Excellent Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/08
Hotel wasn't bad. Cant wait for the new rooms to be done. We stayed there for a wedding and we got the room we booked which was a surprise. Very nice night front desk staff. Only thing that was bad is in the morning when we were checking out the two young ladies didnt help us out too much but it was a good stay and if I hope someone is reading this and I give much praise to the night staff very good. Good hotel

The most wonderful Experience ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/08
What I liked most was the front desk staff they were the best staff that I have ever checked into a hotel with. When I got to the hotel I saw it was packed I had to park a good way from the hotel but thats ok. When I got to the front desk it was around 5pm I was greeted by the two front desk staff right away, both smiling and very nice people. The gentleman checked me in and the very nice lady helped me with some directions. When I got to room I was in one of the newer rooms. The only thing wrong was just the remote didn't work so I called the front desk, and with in no time one was delivered and by one of the front desk staff themselves. I just got to say what influenced me to give this hotel a 5 star rating was the front desk. I travel a lot and I just wish I could receive service everywhere I go like I did at the Holiday Inn Greentree! They have really stepped it up there, good for them!

NO OPERABLE ELEVATORS!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/08
I've experienced much change with this hotel, staying multiple days at a time a few times per year. Things WERE looking up, which I attributed to the rumor of new ownership. Rooms are being completely overhauled, much construction going on there. Which is LONG OVER DUE! *However*, on my last trip, when I checked in, only 1 elevator was operable for the ENTIRE hotel, which happened to be in the front lobby. My room was on the UPPER floor, on the complete opposite wing of the hotel. Guests/maintenance/housekeeping/room service, and all their carts must cram into 1 elevator, mornings are a fiasco-leaving me many times to use the stairwell, or wait long periods for the next elevator if too full. Not so bad going down...but walking up is another story. Then, upon my last 2 days, the LOBBY elevator stopped working as well. :( Using the crammed stairwells, I overheard MANY conversations of staff, and also one contractor on his cell (I assumed to administration)who stated previous repair bills for the elevators had not been paid which is why the elevators are not being immediately serviced. At one point, before breakfast, on my attempt to get downstairs, I actually offered help (but was refused)as housekeeping ladies attempted to lug supplies in garbage bags as big as them btwn the various floors, stairwell crammed full, again, fiasco in the morning, due, IMHO to a disater of mismanagement. Upon departure, I pulled into the side lot as to not have to carry my items so far.I could hear employees comparing notes about BOUNCED payroll checks! As a small business owner I wonder--since the hotel was booked to capacity while I was there-if they are not paying contractors or employees-WHERE IS MY MONEY GOING??? I sincerely hope that if there is in fact new ownership that they are attempting to remedy this situation, and quickly at that.

Excellent Hotel Unlike Expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/08
This hotel must have cleaned up their act because multiple previous online reviews said awful things. Thankfully, my boyfriend and I found a far SUPERIOR EXPERIENCE...the hotel exterior and lobby was CLEAN and classy-looking, elevator slow but NO STENCH, hallways and rooms clean without a cigarette or musty stench either, all the staff was very FRIENDLY, and best of all (to us), NO BUGS. Like many others, I had booked this hotel through Hotwire and was a little disappointed to get a Holiday Inn for a 3-star hotel. After spending a weekend there, I would definitely accept this Holiday Inn as a 3-STAR hotel. We ended up not using it, but a great perk is the airport shuttle service. We were satisfied with all the other amenities, except that they only had a outdoor pool (it was 12 degrees outside, not that the pool was open in January). I would easily stay here again. Thought it was nicely located, especially if you want to go to the Strip District, Downtown, or various shopping centers/malls. The beds were not the most comfortable but my back didn't ache from them. I only docked a point off of the Value because I would always rather pay less. Still, I think we got a deal. From our experience, you shouldn't be disappointed if you stayed here too.

Not impressed...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/13/07
The hotel was okay as far as clean, however I was not impressed with the amount of towels you were given and they were like drying off with a tissue. The telephone in our room did not even work.the bedding was paper thin and the mattress was so lumpy I felt like the princess in the pea. the staff was a bit short but, the manager on duty was quite helpful and friendly. It is not a hotel that is easy to find it sits hidden on a hill and not clearly marked, hard to find after dark. not a hotel I will returning to.
