The Inn of the Beachcomber is a four acre beachfront property with 47 renovated rooms. The current owners, Ted and Keri Eady, have renovated the Inn to capture the feeling of a simpler uncomplicated era. Their Arts and Crafts decor offer guest luxury Bungalow style suites with panoramic beachfront views, fireplaces and private ocean front spas. We have been told by our guests that our beds, with their memory foam mattress toppers and the triple sheeted comforters, are the most comfortable motel beds they have slept in. The Inn uses 250 thread count satin striped sheets and an abundance of the best synthetic down pillows available. Guest will find 32inch flat screen TVs, new balconies, light fixtures from the Arts and Crafts era as well as the Art work of Georgia OKeeffe in their rooms. For breakfast you will find sausage gravy and biscuits, Belgian waffles and scrambled eggs. For the health conscious we offer organic cereal, fresh fruit in season, yogurt, granola and hard boiled eggs. For those with a sweet tooth we provide those huge Costco Muffins and sweet rolls. The large breakfast room has the feel of a country inn as quest share stories about their time at the Beachcomber and exchange travel tips. Swimmers will find a heated indoor pool and spa. The short path through the sand dune affords quest a level and easy walk to our pristine beach. During the summer we offer wine and cheese tasting in our wine shop that has over 300 special selections.

can't recommend this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/09
lots of false advertising about flat screens and wifi. But that would be okay if the bed was at least comfortable (not even close). I understand the coast is a damp environment but the mold was like a science project.

Not what it says it is
By Frequent traveler, 08/29/08
There was no flat screen TV in our room as advertised and the WiFi was not useful at all. I was told "someone stole our router." OK, so replace it. The pool had not been cleaned in a very long time. There was built up scum on the pool tile that previous visitors had scratched their initials into (I am not kidding). It was gross to say the least. The beds looked great but slept horribly. The continental breakfast sounded good but was not. It was overseen by a woman who needed a bath as well as a shave (again I am not kidding). If this is the only option you have then I would say sleep in your car.

I would go back in a heartbeat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/08
We stayed one night and the rooms are very nice and the beds are everything they say they are. The room was charming and the rates where good. The path to the beach starts at the parking lot. You pass drift wood and grasses before reaching the beach. I even took a picture of the path because it was so beautiful. The beach was wonderful and was right behind the motel. The breakfast was great and even had a very nice lady that helped you make your waffle if you had trouble. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. We met Ted, (the owner) in the parking lot and he talked to us about our Goldwing motorcycles and our trip from Arkansas. Rhonda Durham

We felt this hotel was 2 stars. There was not a flat screen tv in our room. there was mold on the ceiling and also in the shower. the room had a weird odor as well. I would not recommend this place drive a little father north and stay at the Bandon Inn. Cute town and shops and food in walking distance....

Saving Grace
By BobJ, 07/08/07
We hopped from the Gold Beach Resort to the Beachcomber Inn after one night and felt like we went to heaven. The rooms are nice and the King Size bed is wonderful! The rooms come with a flat screen TV and DVD player as well as very comfortable lounge chairs in the room and on the private balcony. The view is good and the only reason it didn't get a five was the thin bathroom walls. Rooms were very clean and modern. Overall a very nice place to stay in Gold Beach and would come back again. We did not use the pool area. Hope this helps.
