Location was great... the rest? Not so much.
We (My wife, daughter and I) stayed here for two nights on the fifth floor.
PROS: The view was absolutely gorgeous. The room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. The TV had a DVD player. Pool and hot tub.
CONS: The king size bed was terrible. At $165 a night, you would expect that the bed would be top quality, or at least comfortable. The TV had terrible reception, yes we were there for the beach and other activities, but during downtime the TV would have been nice. The bathroom had mold in the corners, which, at least to me, is unacceptable. The plumbing was noisy as heck. Good luck trying to sleep if someone in an adjoining room (upstairs or to the sides) wants to take a shower or use the bathroom. The doors do not have "stops". What I mean by this, is when the door is opened all the way, then let go, it slams extremely hard. Now picture someone doing that three or four times at 11pm-12pm as they get ice or whatever it was they were doing. Once again, good luck trying to sleep. Most hotels I've stayed in at this price range, put door "arms" or special hinges that allow the door to open and close in a smooth, slow manor, thus avoiding the problem of slamming.
Also, whatever you do, don't eat at the hotel restaurant. The food was overpriced and barely palpable. Oh, if anyone from restaurant management is reading this... $6 for KRAFT Macaroni and Cheese (Kids meal) is a bit overpriced. Plus you might want to make it fresh, instead of reheating yesterday's batch. At least the Pig N' Pancake (in town) identifies the dish as Kraft on their menu.
I will not be staying here again. Ever.
