Residence Inn by Marriott Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving 2006 here with her brother and his wife. The two room penthouse was a great option for us and a good value for the money. It was like having our own private two-room apartment. The complimentary breakfast was far better than most. Real, hot food...not just bagels and coffee. It's a great location if you want to stay near the OK State Fairgrounds, but maybe ten minutes from downtown OKC and Bricktown.

My friends and I spent three weeks here and we love every bit of it. There are several apartments in each houses (or blocks) are different from the usual hotel and motels. It feels like we were in an American neighborhood without having to feel that we were tourists. The staff (dining room / kitchen, reception, driver, security and room service) were courteous and helpful. I like the complimentary breakfast and the Happy Hour treats. For those who wants to enjoy homecooked food, there's a kitchenette (fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven and oven) in every apartment. The only disappointment we had was that some bed are a bit worn-out (sofa bed was sunken in and the queen-size murphy bed was noisy). Otherwise, the stay at the residence inn was worth the value of the dollar spent.
