Cheap, but is it worth it?
We chose this location because it was the closest hotel to a wedding we were attending and because it was cheap even on a weekend night. I wasn't expecting a four star hotel, so wasn't surprised about the slightly run-down building and rooms. Rooms were about what I expected, very simple with no extras. (Although I did expect to at least have a remote control for the TV.)
The biggest problem we had with our stay was the noise. The walls were paper-thin and we could hear every word the group next door was saying (through the "suite" door). This became a big problem when, at midnight and 1:00 am, a group of 5 or 6 next door were enjoying themselves loudly, thus keeping us from getting to sleep. After calling the front desk, the staff did place a phonecall to the other room asking them to be quiet, but this didn't help.
Next time, I'll spend $15-20 more to have a hotel one class up that will let me get what I'm paying for - a good night's sleep after a long day.
