Azalea Inn, Muskogee

the rooms of this hotel have went through a remodel and they have the new serta matresses and the down comfoters on the beds the house keepers cleaned my room and gave fresh towels when we left for a while. the front desk gave us a great rate even though it was the holiday weekend and the other hotels went up in price. I will be staying here again.

The internet pics looked great, the internet advertisement sounded great. the lobby looked great. Then you start walking down the hallway to your room. some doors do not even have handles in them. the first room we were given the door wouldnt even shut. got a new room, the entire corridor and the room spelled awful. On to the pool. The advertisement said A/C indoor pool, well it does have a/c they just dont use it! the patio doors were locked and owner refused to open them. ceiling tiles were fallin, mold and mildew everywhere, all the plants were dead. The fitness room is a room with fitness equipment piled in it, but not useable. I was charged 80.00 a night and refunded 44 dollars which has yet to be refunded to my account!

If you plan to rent at this place for an event like a wedding BEWARE. Man in charge will promise you the moon, take your money then yell at his own staff to find NON EXISTENT tables and chairs that he personally promised. (which we never got, we had to get tables from pool side to have one for the punch!) The staff tried to make it bearable, they can only do so much. Someone needs to put some money into repairs, recepticles non working or non existent, the staff seem overworked/underpaid. They need a new manager.

staff was great, rooms were nice my family felt really welcomed there oh pool was wonderful close to the ball fields which is why we where there we will be back next year

The hotel was going through renovations, which we did not know. When we arrived at the hotel we had to wait for over 45 minutes before we were checked in. The rooms were not ready, nor were the adequatle supplied. I had to buy my own shower curtain and rings, very limited towels, many of the outlets in the room did not work. No refrigerator or microwave. When asked they said they had them but they were busy trying to get the rooms ready. Our shower was not cleaned out, it would not drain, they said they would call roto rotor, but then it never happened, construction debris was still in the tub. The room they wanted to change us to did not have heat. When we left the hotel they refused to give any credit, charged us full price. They stated that they were sorry and that they only had two people out of 80 happy that weekend. I would never stay there again, nor would I recommend anyone stay there.

We came to Muskogee for our Family Reunion. We decided to stay at this hotel because we had stayed here before when it was the Ramada Inn, so we were like ok, we know that this hotel is nice. Boy were we WRONG!!! This place was horrible. First of all, the pictures on their website are untrue. The hotel looks nothing like it. They are in the middle of remodeling the hotel, so they should have never rented any rooms out. There was peeling wallpaper, leaking air conditioner units, smoky rooms in the non-smoking rooms, roaches, little lizzard like insects. They never gave you clean sheets, only made your bed. They allowed pets in the hotel, which means the dogs were laying all around on the beds and yes we were being attacked by flees. It was just awful. The only thing was the staff was very pleasant. We knew they aonly worked there and it was really the owners fault, who by the way was very rude and didn't care that we had such a bad expereince. Please do not stay at this hotel......it will give you the creeps. The only reason we had to stay, was because all of the area hotels were totally booked, for all of the other activities that were going on in the city. This place use to be a nice hotel, but the new owner only cares about the money. It should have never opened until all the renovations were complete.

This place was a nightmare, to say the least! The beds were old & worn out, and didn't even have matching linens, which were raggedy. The mattresses were FILTHY! The carpet in our room was dirty, torn, & half of it was soaking wet from some kind of leak. Mold on the ceiling, sticky bathroom floors, & the tub was so nasty we didn't even want to bathe. The upstairs sliding glass window had no screen & opened up into the atrium- which was extremely dangerous for small children. One of the light fixtures in the room wasn't working & when my husband tried to plug it in, he realized that it had been cut, & spliced back together with no electrical tape! Hello- fire hazard! The ceiling in the hallway was caving in. Honestly, I don't know how this place passed any kind of safety inspection. The staff, bless their hearts, did their damndest to make it ok, but just couldn't make up for the filth. Heated pool was ice cold, no breakfast, broken hot tub. The website was very misleading- If it were practical I would have sued for false advertising! A nightmare all around! My advice: stay at the Hampton!

Our room was clean. We enjoyed the swimmming pool. Nice front desk staff. The hotel is roght on the highway which make it easier to find. We will recommend this hotel

We had trouble from the start. The room smelled of mold. We changed to another. It also smelled but was somewhat tolerable. The hot tub did not work. The indoor pool was ice cold. There was mold in the inroom coffee pot. Food under the bed and behind the desk. Breakfast is not continental. Only cold bagels, jelly, coffee and orange juice. The manager was not hospitable to our compaints.

This place is totally awful. Arrived late dumped our luggage and went out to eat. When we returned and had a look half our carpet in the room was wet due to something leaking down the wall and when the bed was turned dowm there was rice and a dime there- obviously sheets had not been changed! Moved to another room which had no towels and a floor which had not been vacuumed for a long time. Someone had wiped their bloody nose on the shower curtain! If it had not been 11pm we would have left. When I complained in the morning it was obvious they werent interested and had heard it all before (including from the guy in front of me) It looks good from the road but thats where it ends!
