Hyatt Regency Columbus, Columbus

The hotel staff was friendly, cutomer service at the front counter was professional. DIfficult to control the A/C and find a comfortable temperture. THey did a satisfactory job of supporting our conference. Not much to do in the surrounding area for visitors with no car. My unfortunate experience is with housekeeping. I checked out of the hotel and left for a mid morning flight home. WHen I arrived at the airport (30 min drive) I realized I forgot my Kindle (my fault). No problem, right? I called and reported it to housekeeping and their lost and found dept. They reported that no kindle was found in my room. I was speechless. I called back 2 hours later to have them check lost and found one more time: their reply was no kindle found coming from my room but managed to find another guests kindle and would be putting it in the mail. I asked if they had any explanation as I told the houskeeping supervisor exacly where I left it. She had no answer. I infor,ed ther could be only one explanation and since I was 2000 miles away, there was no hope of resolving this. She informed me that the manager would be notified and would email me of any progress. To date, no email. I reported the kindle missing with Amazon and they deactivated the registration. The new owner will not be able to download anything. Amazon says it's nothing more than a paper weight. If you stay at this hotel, guard your valuables.

We stayed 6 days/5 nights for a conference. This hotel is NOT handicapped friendly, especially the public bathrooms. There were 4 of us registered to a room and it was equipped for only 2. Had to call to get more towels, glasses, coffee, coffee cups, etc. It took more than 2 hours and another call to finally get them. Maid service never picked up used water glasses and IF they gave us more, it was only 2. Did not replenish the coffee or cups. There's no microwave and no ventilation in the bathroom. They charge $10/day to use the internet and $23/day for parking. It was a long week for $150/day.

they greet you at the door and when you check in. very clean.I love that the Greater Columbus Convention Center is add to the Hotel. don't have to leave the hotel. if it's a rainy day. there are places to eat here and a bar downstairs, pool for the kids, or just go and work out. We are on the 11th floor and at night it looks so nice to look out the window and see all the lights on the builds. I was here with my husband 6yrs. Ago. and now we have are two kids with us and they love it here. We will be back next year. A great places to stay with your family or to have a Romantic week out with your loved one.

I am at the Hyatt all week this week. It is a nice hotel. The room was clean when I arrived (there was a bobby pin on the floor). THERE IS NOT FREE INTERNET! INTERNET IS $9.95 daily. THERE IS NO HOT TUB! The indoor pool water is kinda cold. The people that work in the hotel are very nice and the service is great! In room dining is RIDICULOUSLY priced! (I had chicken noodle soup, crackers and a sierra mist for lunch in my room as I was not feeling well this afternoon ($11.96). I could stay at a much cheaper hotel, still have a nice room, FREE internet, heated pool, hot tub, nd a complimentary breakfast for 1/3 of what this hotel charges! Nice but not worth the $$$! (Lucky for me on this trip someone else is footing the bill!)

I am an Ohio State University student working on the Hyatt Regency and need to just ask a Hyatt consumer a few questions would anyone please post and respond to the following questions if you have been a hyatt guest? 1. My friends and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency the weekend of February 20, 2010...there was a radio hosted weekend also going on at the hotel during this time frame...what appeared to be a carefree weekend for us quickly turned into a nightmare...the people attending the weekend radio event were rude and pretty much trashed the hotel...my friends and I were unable to sleep due to a party in the room next to ours...people milled throughout the halls at all hours of the night, knocking on doors and using extreme profanity...breakfast the next morning turned out to be the worst part of the nightmare, with many party goers appearing at the hotel cafe in less the modest attire...my friends were shocked at what they saw... The staff was great and in the end we ended up not having to pay for our room due to the experience...Rueben was wonderful...we do not blame the staff for the horrible experience, but we all agree that perhaps they should not allow the same radio station to host this event at the hotel in the future...

I love this hotel, was there March 11-13, 2009 for a school field trip for my BPA class. It was an awesome hotel, anything we wanted, we got. Friendly staff no matter what we asked they always came to our door with smiles and great manners. It was a very clean hotel, no mold, no dust, etc. very very nice. awesome view of columbus (19th floor; 1929) loved it and the bed was HUGE! we fit three of us in there comfortably! food court on 1st floor = amazing. good prices and food was good. didnt quite like the ohio state store in there, only because i am a michigan fan lol. good hotel and i would recommend it to EVERYONE! beautiful.

My daughter and I attended a convention in Columbus May 16th-18th in the hotel ... we spent the extra money to stay here because the convention was in this hotel ... bad move !! The building is outdated ... the furniture and rugs in the rooms were wore and tired looking ... the air conditioning does not work ... it was so warm we could not sleep ...then came the time to try to use the elevators ... there was a 20-30 minute wait and when the elevator did arrive , people jammed into it .. way over capacity I'm sure .. making this a dangerous thing to do ... we tried to use the emegency stairwell and that wasnt possible since it stopped 3 floors before the convention floor ... so you had to wait for the elevator anyway ... we were late for events we needed to attend at the convention and it was a nightmare! The food inside the hotel was good but so expensive it was impossible to eat the entire time we stayed ... come on a 14.00 dollar hamburger ? ... I was highly dissappointed and called customer service ... they apoligized and said this was enough compensation ... they didn't plan to do anymore ... my advice is to save your money and stay elsewhere in Columbus ... there are nice hotels there ... this I heard from friends who stayed here last year and knew of the terrible conditions.. so this is why they stayed away ... rather then let you learn from experience ... I'll tell you now so you don't waste your hard-earned money and have a miserable stay ... A. Hess

This was my first time staying at a Hyatt and I was very impressed. The hotel was very clean and had an elegant atmosphere. The staff was very cordial and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The pool here was not good and there is really nothing to do in Columbus. However, the hotel itself is really nice and I highly recommend it.
