By Linda, 3/31/11
Over all every thing was nice and clean. Most staff was very friendly.I have 17 years on the road,I know people taht,s part of my job. When I get in from work I like to have a good meal and a few drinks,I notic how different I was treated at the bar frome other people sitting there,I was the ony woman there, and only african american there,I was asked for room number in front of 3 men,I was told a talked too loud,in front of every one.Like I said I was treated very different, this is 2011,people should all be treated the same all money is the same.Thank you Linda Kathy Holmes Priority Club member.

2 star hotel at best, to expensive
By It is Brilliant, 8/14/10
Price is to high for what it is but it will do in a pinch It's right on the edge of downtown which is good. Staff is great, very personable. The hotel, honestly is about a 2 star, tops. So the price is actually outrageous for the quality of the facility. It's not to dirty or anything, but it's certainly old and not to clean either. Very average but stayed there 1/2 dozen times.

Great Hotel !!
By Chris, 3/17/08
Our wheelchair basketball team stayed here while we were attending the National Wheelchair Basketball Tournament on campus and we were more than pleased with our stay. The staff is awesome. Rooms are nice and the handicapped accessible rooms were the best we have booked yet. We would definitely stay there again. Marla at the front desk is very friendly and beautiful. Thanks Holiday Inn City Center for a great stay!! All Heart Tornadoes-Lumberton, NC

Great Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/8/07
The hotel has a staff that has the best attitude of anywhere I have stayed! There are the normal little glitchs as in anyplace that you stay; but they handled everything no matter what time with a smile.

Horrible stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/06
My children and I came to Columbus Ohio for the first time in October 2005 and not knowing anything about the area we thought that surely a Holiday Inn would be nice enough. WRONG!!!! Our room was too hot and we could not sleep due to not being able to control the temp in the room. The front desk did not care. They also could not give us directions to get anywhere and we got turned around and lost several times. The room was dirty and not cleaned during our visit even one time. The hallways had a sour smell to them and the vending machines were not in working order. This was a horrible stay and the Holiday Inn main office may need to check this place out as it is bad for their company's reputation. Don't Stay Here!!!

Going downhill every year
By Leo, 2/21/06
In the 15 years I have made yearly trips to Columbus, this hotel has shown a marked downhill slide. This past February (2006) was the worst. We had to search 6 floors before we found an ice machine, it took almost 3 minutes to get any warm water, much longer for hot, one elevator was out of service half the time, the rear entry door was hanging by one hinge and unusable, the front entry doors had to be wrestled open for most of the weekend, hallways were generally dingy looking, and don't even THINK of getting a roll-away bed for a third guest! On the plus side, the staff is ultra friendly and helpful, shuttle bus service is provided, you are very close to many downtown features, and the in-house restaurant serves a fairly good breakfast and lunch.

Surprise at City Center
By VASMA, 5/31/05
Although the public areas leave a bit to be desired, I was very pleasantly surprised when I spent the last 4 nights at the Holiday Inn City Center in Columbus Ohio! I got a very good deal, the room was very nice for the price range, the staff was very friendly and helpful from the check-in to the shuttle driver, and I loved that it is a "hot spot" with free wireless internet service. One surprise was that there was no fitness room, but there is a pool.
