Best Western Kenwood Inn & Conference Center, Cincinnati

Dark hallways, sheets didn't fit bed, mildew all over shower curtains, maid only cleaned room one day. Only bright spot was the very nice pool - and it has seen better days.

The area seemed okay. Easy to find the hotel. The room itself was clean but the bathroom was poorly designed. Not much counter space at all so things kept falling on the floor. Shower was about the size you'd find on a cruise ship. Very cramped and the bathroom in general needed updating. The carpet in the hall was well worn and the facility poorly laid out. The indoor pool area was dirty and needed updating. They did not ensure towel service at the pool. The used towels overflowed the basket. Soured me on ever staying at a Best Western again sight unseen first.

Many issues, but I urge folks to look elsewhere. Food and drink residual visably on nightstand, desk, and dresser. Dried and sticky spills of what looked like cola and grape juice or wine down the side of the nightstand, and ants on the nightstand. Bathroom door splattered with some dried dark brown liguid. All easily wiped off with my Lysol wipes. Coffeemaker was dirty and it was obvious that the coffee mugs had not been cleaned. They may have wiped them out. Strong, moldy smell in the room and sticky grimey carpet made it impossible to be comfortable.

The place is actually a Best Western and it's filthy. We had nail clippings in our bed when we arrived. The staff was nice and tried to help but the property is a dump.

We stayed at Kenwood Inn over Memorial Day weekend. It has been booked through Hotwire, and that wasn't an issue. The issues were: 1) This hotel charged our credit card for the room beyond the Hotwire charge. We did not learn this until we got our credit card statement. 2) The hotel has no working phone number to dispute the charge. 3) During the stay, the room started our as being a marginally clean hotel. However, after our second night, housekeeping did not come in and make up the room. We did not expect new sheets, but were talking about housekeeping not coming in at all. No towels were left, garbage cans were untouched, etc. We asked for towels & were told by maintenence/front desk that it was not their problem. We ended up having to use pool towels. 4) The restaurant was not clean and service was uncaring or distracted. We are generally not too picky when we travel as a family. But there are basics you expect, especially since this had been rated as a three star hotel. We hated it!

i can't believe priceline would classify this as a 3 star hotel. beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
