Comfort Inn Mentor, Mentor

My family stayed at this hotel in August, 2006. Issues: - Requested adjoining rooms months earlier when reservation was made. We arrived ahead of check-in to insure that we would be able to obtain adjoining rooms. Housekeeping did not have rooms ready, but we were told that adjoining rooms would be held for us. When we returned a short while later, the rooms that were adjoining had been given out since the hotel staff did not even know which rooms were adjoining. My children had to stay in a room down the hall. - The first set of rooms that we were given were already occupied. We were given keys and walked into the rooms to find luggage and personal belongings. This raised a security concern about what the staff was doing. - The second set of rooms were vacant, but one set of room keys did not work. So it took three trips to the front desk to get the correct rooms and keys that worked. - The one room had a dirty towel left behind in it. - The beds did not have mattress pads or fitted bottom sheets. By rolling over at night the bottom sheet pulls away from the mattress, so when waking up in the morning your face is laying on an exposed mattress. - The "Deluxe" continental breakfast is average at best. - The hotel is overpriced for the amenities, quality and services provided. It is old and needs renovated.
