Holiday Inn Fayetteville 1 95, Fayetteville

The room was clean. But I thought the price was a bit steep. Great that it allows pets. Room service was over an hour and a half!!!! That was my only problem.

I am always travelling from MD to FL over the summer and I have found this to be the most reliable hotel I have ever stayed with. I left my blanket (which wasn't that important) in my room on accident. Just as another reviewer mentioned, the front desk did take down all of my information for the "head of housekeeping" to retreive it, as the main key holder for the lost and found. I promptly recieved a phone call the next day and she had it COD-ed to me. No problems at all! Plus the room is clean, there is no noise, and the staff... the staff is GREAT! I don't know how many questions I had, but they answered them all. Note: They are a convention center and they do get booked up regularly so making a reservation is highly recommended to avoid parties or large groups of kids (the front desk is so honest and always tries to inform me of any noise possiblities). Also making a reservation with them directly insures you get what you want. Because I've had a few problems with online sites and 1-800 numbers reserving the entire wrong thing for me. (but they have always worked hard on getting me what i need)

Most of the other hotels in this area are dumps. Lots of traffic due to Fort Bragg and Pope AFB personnel. This is the place to stay if you are stuck in Fayetteville as I often am.

I have stayed there twice, highly recommend this Holiday Inn,about two miles from I-95, even if just staying there for the night, but if you intend to be in the Fayetteville, N.C. area for a 3 day/2 night stay like I did in June for the 2007 US Women's Golf Open, it's more than a good hotel, more like a small resort, great indoor pool, good restaraunt/lounge and well kept grounds, and the management upgreated me to prioty club status (free large breakfast buffet, after the had seen that I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Tallahasse, Florida earlier in that same month, they could have easily had me pay for it but management told me I was due this perk!.

After accidentally leaving my coat & scarf in room 1114 on Saturday, Feb.9, I called the hotel as soon as I arrived home. I was told that one person, alone, had the key to housekeeping and lost and found and that no one else but the head of housekeeping would have access to what was put in lost and found - Monday - Friday only. Of course, this is an absurd statement to make as the coat would have been reported to lost and found by a maid and someone, on a Saturday, would have had to lock it up. How could this have happened if, as I was told, the Head of Housekeeping only worked Mon.-Fri. I was promised a phone call today (Monday, 2/12)confirming that my coat was at the hotel. I received no phone call. I called the hotel at approximately 8:00 p.m. and was told by a receptionist that she had "no idea" about anything that is lost. She also said that I should be the one who should call the hotel during the Housekeeper's regular working hours. The policy, if it's real, is ineffectual and makes no sense. I regret making the move from the Bordeau to the HI-I95. They have given me far superior service over the years.
