Plaza Inn Morganton, Morganton

My parents stayed there last year when my son was born. I had to call them there the next day and the front desk clerk was very rude (and could speak very little english) and because I did not have their room number he would not transfer the call, not that he could anyway since their phone did not work. He became very mean even after I explained that I had just given birth. My parents, who normally do not complain, only stayed the one night there and they said it was so awful they would never go back. It was dirty, run down, and their breakfast was little to nothing. Thank goodness it was near restaurants so they could eat. I live in Morganton and this place is absolutely disgusting. My advice would be to spend the extra money to stay at one of the two hotels right next to it.

With heater on high heat and hottest setting room only got to mid 60's. Friend in onother room had same complaint. Generally cheap hotel (thin worn towels etc.)
