Econo Lodge, Salisbury

time i was there, they have and still are making all kinds oif changes the staff is great and the rooms are coming together, our 1st experince was awful however the hotel gave us a discount to try again one day and we did (kinda got stuck staying there ) but was a differents and i have seen more and more changes, breakfast was good then but now i see they are trying to make sure is always hot and plentiful, new furnishing, carpet was very clean this time, and several changes maded in the area, I would and will recommend to others also they took us on tour to see the newer rooms and they have a lovely jacuzzi room was huge and very clean and neat.....

This place was unbelieveable, it should be called the "Bates Motel" The carpet was nasty,the room smells awful, bathroom had mildew, the tub was nasty, the face sink was all crack, the rooms need to be paint, cob webs and very dusty. I can't believe this place is still open for business. We were told they are under renovation. Please close the place until the renovation is complete. The comfort of their guests should be first priority for this type of business. WORD OF MOUTH MEANS A LOT.

1. No hot water 2. Bath Tub was stopped, water up to your angles while taking a shower 3. Dressor Drawers hanging on the floor 4. Needs new carpeting 5. Cigerette burns on the furniture 6. Sheets on bed thread worn This location should have one star - not three Please remove the name Ramada you will give all the Ramada's a bad name.

I was booked in this room during a biz trip in Dec 05. The staff were excellent.. but not enough to compensate for the property. The bathroom was a patchwork of caulk & flaking paint. The water pressure was great.. since the shower head was missing. Like the previous reviewer.. I too felt the need to wear shoes at all times. The door had to be slammed to shut & lacked weather seal. Cleaning carts, cars, and noise constantly interrupted sleep. The parking lot was poorly lit. I told myself that I would "take one for the team" & swore to never check into another hotel w/o first seeing the room.

We loved the location. When we first went in the room the smell of pine cleaner was overwhelming. After about an hour we kind of got use to it but the floor under the vanity area was a little damp. After I walked around the area a few times I felt I needed to wash me feet. When we came back after dinner the smell of pine was gone. That's when you could smell the real problem. Someone obviously had an animal in the room. The smell was bad! My three year old kept asking way our room smelled funny. I did get some air freshner from the office but that didn't help and they didn't offer to do anything.
