Roach Hotel
By Prudence, 11/24/08
By all means the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We read that they are doing a million dollars worth of renovations but i suppose they forgot to call the exterminator. When we walked in we were greeted by both baby and adult roaches scurrying over our luggage and on the walls. We immediately called the front desk but were apprehensive, seeing the giant gap under the door where roaches could easily scurry in and out of all the rooms. An hour later, after being told there were no vacancies, 20 magically appeared and they moved us a few doors down. Upon entering the second room we instantly found hair and roach carcasses in the ice bucket. It was now 5 am and we were exhausted. The shower was almost as scary as the roaches, separating from the wall and filled with hair and grime. The lights stayed on to ward off the roaches, we didn't shower, and we stayed away from breakfast. Upon checking out from this horrific nightmare, we found out our quoted $75 including tax, was charged as $90 on our credit card. When speaking to the General Manager, we were told that WE must have contaminated both of the rooms with the live and dead roaches, and if we didn't like it, we should have just left (it was 5 a.m.). And when I asked if all Comfort Inns are like this, he responded "I would stay away from Comfort Inns in the future". Our luggage is still in the car, because we fear contaminating our entire apartment and adding more cost to this nightmare. I'm so sorry I took my family here. One of the scariest experiences we've ever had in our travels.

Nice Stay
By Fun1, 8/7/08
I stayed at this hotel not to long ago. The 3rd shift guy was very helpful with making sure we had what we needed and let us know where we would be able to find things. The rooms were great eventhough I did have a problem with my shower head which I was able to fix. Other than that it was fine. The breakfast was also great. There were cereal, waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, fruits, juices, coffee, and milk. That beats most breakfast I have had at most hotels. I would go back.

Loud, Loud, Loud!!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/19/08
We didn't like anything at this hotel. We will not be back to a "Comfort" Inn. We aren't really sure why they call it "Comfort," because it didn't feel clean, the floors looked stained and the noise level was horrible. We didn't get to sleep until 2 AM because of the noise and our baby son kept waking up. The AC was so loud it sounded like a jet plane was flying over every time it came on. We do not recommend this hotel, nor will we ever stay again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE
By Unique Diva, 3/18/08
Our church group traveled from GA to this particular hotel. The staff gave out wrong directions, they told us an exit that didnt exist which took us an hr out of the way. I had to call back and speak to a manager. When we did arrive we were only given a 10% discount and the person who gave us the bad directions was rude indicating it was our fault. We were in the city of Greensboro at 6p but because of bad directions didnt get to the hotel until 6:45, our meeting was at 7. Not only did we deal with bad directions but that Sat the hotel staff began banging on the doors rushing us from our rooms. Mind you we had 8 rooms and everyone was basically put out of their rooms or they stood at the door waiting. We had children thatn had to be taken to other rooms because the staff was so impatient. If you stay here make sure you have your own directions and expect to be put out.

Showers only, apparently
By Kerri, 8/3/07
When I get a chance to stay in a hotel, the first thing I want to do is take a nice, hot bubble bath, since the hot water in our old farm house isn't dependable enough for me to get many long baths at home. At the Comfort Inn in Greensboro, the faucet had been rigged to prevent baths--the little thingy I should have had to pull up to take a shower had been fixed with bolts and screws from the inside of the spigot so that it couldn't be pushed down. I called the front desk and asked about it and was told (after "What are you talking about?") that yeah, Front Desk Guy thought all the rooms were like that. Yeah, well that isn't really acceptable.

Nothing out of the ordinary.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/05
Hotel was clean and our room was pretty spacious. Soundproofing poor. We stayed over a weekend and there were several different groups also there judging by the vans and busses in the parking lot. That meant a lot of early and late noise in the hallway (which by the way, is one very long straight hallway that accesses all 60+ rooms on each floor). Not a bad stay but typical for hotels near the interstate.
