Terrible customer service, poor management .

After we booked for one night by phone, and got the confirmation number, we had very bad surprise when we arrived to check in, the person behind the desk met us with a straight face, and shocked us when said there was no room available, we tried to find out how this could happen and what they can do to solve the issue, the person behind the desk was not helpful at all, just wanted to end the subject and move on, it was clear to us that this person should be the last one to work in customer service, people who work in customer service must be cheerful and problem solvers, but not this one. We left the hotel angry, and drove back to our destination, but the story hasn't finished yet, keep reading, after two days we talked to the manager, and told him what happened, he said "I am sorry", and promised full investigation, and would get back to us, and guess what? He never did it. I wonder if this would have happened to the person behind the desk or to the manager, what their feelings and reactions would be?
