An utter pit.

We had a 3-night reservation here. The first room we were given had a door that wouldn't lock; the steel door had been jimmied open at some point, and the entire door was bent away from the frame. (The TV didn't work, either.)
We asked for a different room. (I heard the clerk giving some other family our first room as I left the desk). This door locked, but it too had been jimmied open; there was a huge, crowbar-shaped dent near the lock.
The rooms themselves were grungy and threadbare. We found the last guests' garbage in one of the drawers. The door to the parking lot, which is supposed to require a room key to open, didn't lock at all.
We canceled the second and third nights of our reservation, forfeited the first night's payment, and threw ourselves on the mercy of a relative with a spare room. The clerk didn't even ask why we were checking out 40 minutes after checking in; I think it must happen pretty often.
