The Milford, New York

Yes the hotel was outdated but the service was great and if you needed anything they were right on top of things. I and my daughter transfered from a different hotel that had treated us like we had the plague and when we arrived at the milford we were greeted with a smile and our room was always clean.

03/24/2009- 03/31/2008 We paid $139.00 per night pluse fees and taxes... small room, but we were not in the room except to sleep. The place was secure with the way we had to show our room key before we entered the elevators. This review blog scared me and I packed bug spray, lysol to clean the bath, air freshner, mind you this room was old..... but it was clean. There were no bed bugs at all. Our room was 1705. Now on to the great things... It is ONE BLOCK from time square. Right in the middle of EVERYTHING!!!! Broadway plays. This is a great place to stay for the price! Ask for Bryan at the elevator desk!!! He was great too!

This hotel looks nice enough when you arrive, but you are soon in for a huge disappointment. The doormen are very nice. The security people who guard the elevators are the biggest power tripping idiots in the world. Upon arrival, the group of people I was with walked to the elevators in a very noisy and crowded lobby, in which we did not hear the security guy speaking, so in his utmost non professional way stated that he guessed we didn't need to get to our rooms today and we deserved it if we didn't listen to him. He then proceeded to talk to us as if we were 5 year olds about how to work the elevators. We were finally able to go to our rooms after each and everyone of us showed him our room key. The rooms.....are disgusting. Small, stinky, bedding older than my mother. The room is so small the bathroom door is on a spring so that it pulls itself closed as to not block the doorway. The bathroom was nasty. Picture dirty rest area bathroom on the highway. For $200+ a night I expect a clean NICE room, respectful and HELPFUL staff, this hotel has none of the above. Oh and do not go out after 2am for coffee. Apparently the prostitution/pimp business is booming across the street.....

well the first night i got to the hotel it wasnt that bad until the next morning i got up to take a shower and there was a COCKROACH bathroom and then i had BED BUG BITS all over my legs...... this hotel is located in a good part of town but it doesnt really matter beacuse it is just so horriable. Well then the next day my mom, brother, and grandparents arrived and it took them forever to even get help to get in there room and the people at the counter were the rudest people i have ever met. well the next night they to founnd tree COCKROACHES in there bath tube so they gave both of us an upgrade kind of but not really. they put me and my aunt in a one bed room but they put the others in the milf club watch was cool i gess. but the rooms are as small as an bathroom in an appartment........... well i recamend verey strongly that know one should ever stay at this crappy hotle it will be the worst stay of your life i would have rather stayed on the streets and or in the sudway or harlem.......

Title says it all. Stayed 3/16/09-3/20/09. Will never stay again. Small room, Rude indifferent staff, dusty, smelly, moldy bathroom, poor to nonexistent wifi service, and BED BUGS. Location or no, it's not worth it.

l paid 350 dollars (United Nations was sitting) huge upcharge for a small room that smelled of urine and mold around the toilet. l have never stayed in a worse place and have travelled all over the world. Staff was friendly and a tremendous location.

I booked 3 rooms at the Milford Plaza after looking at pictures online. Unfortunately those pictures were nothing like what the rooms actually looked like. Our rooms were small, noisy, tired and unclean compared to the updated rooms I thought I was booking. Our toliet over flowed and it took a third call to guest services 6 hours later for them to come and clean the floor. The bucket of water they used for this was worse than the over flow from our toliet. Hotel staff were unfriendly and made us feel we were a burden to them. I was told breakfast was included when I booked and upon arrival this was not the case. I do have to say it has a great location if you are heading to the theater or Times Square. But I seriously wonder if this place can stay in business much longer???

We stayed at the Milford plaza for 4 nights in december and enjoyed our stay there.The room was quite small but warm and comfortable and clean.The sheets were changed daily and fresh clean towels and soap etc were provided every day.The location of this hotel is perfect being only a short walk from times square,the broadway theatre district and central park.The security was great with security guards stationed by the lifts 24/7.I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again if and when I go back to New york.

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The place was extremely run down and dirty. The staff could care less to be accomodating. The room was the size of a closet. The bathroom was so dirty that I felt dirty using it. The toilet had a kick stand like they have in rest rooms at a stadium. I found this hotel to be horrifying. Also, the valet was expensive and took forever to bring the car back the next day. This place should be demolished. It is that bad. It gives you the feeling of being in a prison cell only you have to pay a couple of hundred dollars for the feeling. Awful! Deplorable Conditions! Poorest Service Ever!

This was a horrible hotel. Bedroom for two was like a box room. Furniture was like something out of my 'Grannys' house. Bathroom was a disgrace. Staff not a bit friendly. All in all it only had location going for it. I definitely won't be returning no matter what special offers they hand out.
