Hudson Valley Hotel, Newburgh

Not a five star place but clean and comfortable and the price is right. Decent hot breakfast. No noise, no bugs, no problems. You can spend more and do a lot worse - We thought it was just fine.

Service was very poor, plumbing did not work and overflowing in the lobby area, no food available, no pool as advertised, room service almost non-existent, loud music from bar until 4 AM on Friday. Do not stay at this horrible hotel.

Lets say that we should lock the owners and their families of this dump in the rooms that people pay good money for. Let them see what a dump it is. This place needs the wrecking ball. I think that even the bed bugs left once they found out the conditions here. The best thing bout the place was the front desk clerks who were coping with the situations that the owners neglect. (nothing against them)

Stayed here for one night. Never Again. Mold on the tiles in bathroom. Hugh draft coming from under door which kept the heat on constantly. When I called a day before my arrival, the front clerk ranted and raved about their hot breakfest buffet and pool. Thats great but its nothing but a muffin and coffee and if you want it hot, you gotta microwave it. Pool is outdoors and closed so I don't know why the clerks sold me on that. Ice machine is broken and room walls are thin so I heard my neighbors arguing clearly. This area is a hugh biker/drug gang area and has some of the worst crime stats in the US. If you want to keep this Inn in operation, the new owner needs to bring it up to satisfactory living standards.

well i really liked the attention it feels like family enviroment .....the front desk agent that attended my wife and was soooooo friendly i think her name was elizabeth ..she really treated us with warmth and a very nice smile welcome.... the only issue i had was the wifi was not getting to my room but thats about it

This has been a terrible experience! We were booked for a New Years Eve event at this hotel and I will never step foot in it again. The rooms are dumpy with broken furniture, dirty drapes and bedding and an overall sense of dis-comfort. I checked in before my husband and did not feel safe as all the rooms are exterior entrances and in very bad need of repair and renovation as well as the parking lot. I am still fighting with the owner of the hotel to get my $100 refund to my credit card as they overcharged my credit card (a month before our actual reservation) and now states he will not refund the money. One last thing, there was a fight that broke out during the NewYears Eve party where cops had to be called in. Low class people, low class hotel staff and an overall terrible experience. Please do not give this owner any of your $. You will be much better off booking a different hotel.

They are bringing back the old night club with good old time music from the 60's and 70's in the fabulous Doolittle Lounge. YAY, Will be jam packed Feb. 27th for the grand openning of the club as it was. CAN'T WAIT!! Hey Hey the old gangs all here.

If you are staying here to sleep forget it. Music in the lounge played at least until 4 am, doors slamming all night, people running up and down the corridor, cell phones ringing, also could here them talking on the phone. Had to kill spiders in the room, ants in the bathroom, room stank of cigarette smoke, damp and musty. also had cobbwebs. had to go bur air freshener to cover the odor, Lysol and Frebrezze did'nt work. This room was not pictured as on the website, it had old furniture, wallpaper coming off the walls with ugly stains, gross. Will never stay there again. Not recommened, for small children, would'nt want them to get on the carpet. Not worth the money we paid over $100.00.

The rooms were dirty, it wasn't worth the $220.00 for 2 nights, the so-called managers when I checked it were rude. I felt like I was in a rooming house. I won't stay here if it was the last place in Newburgh, New York. I would stay in my car first.

I was a bit hesitant to stay here after reading other reviews but am glad I did. The rooms could use some updating and maintenance, (missing light switches, etc) however the service was supurb. The front desk clerks went out of their way to help. From printing directions for me, to offering to bring a space heater to the room, (I was traveling with my 70 year old mother and it was a bit chilly for June)they were always willing to help. I had no problems with room service, the food was excellent and the prices reasonable. Again, service at the restaurant was above and beyond. I would definately stay here again.
