Location, Location, Location!
By Emma, 10/26/09
What can I say? The location is great for who has little time to visit the Big Apple. The hotel is located right around the corner from Times Square and is excellent for reaching other top sites! The accommodations are spacious and quite comfortable. The hall was undergoing a complete restyling giving a it a modern and chic first impression. The staff was very kind but the breakfast was somewhat limited. All in all a great stay and will go back.

poor customer service
By kelly, 11/28/08
The cleanliness was great. When I arrived they couldn't find my reservation and seemed to have no interest in placing me in a room. They acted as if I did something wrong. Waited for management and they said my reservation was for the day before. I had not made the mistake and they acted as if I did. The price was very high for a two bed room. I expected a little more from the room. Where I work, customer service is number one. I felt I was treated as second class. Just poor customer service with the front desk at check in. Maybe I should of took my business elsewhere, where I could of been appreciated. They offered nothing for the mistake made.

A Wonderful hotel
By Fun Traveler, 8/10/08
We stayed here for 6 days through the July 4 holiday and loved it. We were upgraded to a suite immediately upon arrival. (It never hurts to ask!) This hotel is beautiful, elegant, extremely roomy and the BEST location. The Concierge was always available the service was excellent. There are two subway entrances pretty close by, tons of restaurants, theaters and shopping. This hotel made our trip; It was convenient to everything. We were on the fourth floor, had a view of 7th Ave, and it was very quiet and dark when we were sleeping. This is a true luxury hotel and it was a wonderful experience for us. You must stay here!!

Large, Beautiful Rooms
By Lori, 3/28/08
This was my first trip to New York City. I had always heard that the rooms in this city were tiny. I was very pleased with the large room and bathroom. The guest room and the hotel lobby were beautiful. The location was great. It was within walking distance to the Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and Times Square. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would like to return to NYC soon and would definitely enjoy staying at The Michelangelo again.

Nice Surprise - Good Hotel
By Bradley, 12/6/06
I stayed at this property for 3 nights in late November. I hadn't heard of it, so I was a little scepticle. The good: - room was big and clean - hotel was quiet - rate was decent (for NYC in November) - had a great italian feel to it - concierge was helpful - great restaurant recommendation The bad: - gym is lame single treadmill, bike, and old stair climber. They need to improve this. - no irons in the room, but they delivered one - bad TV, which they updated halfway through my trip Overall, a nice place. I would stay there again and pick this property over a larger chain hotel in Times Square.

Great Little Hotel
By COA, 11/1/06
Best hotel I've stayed in on several trips to the City. Spacious rooms, which is rare in the City. Friendly service and great morning breakfast.

Displeasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/06
The location of the hotel was great for the access to the theaters and shopping. However, for the price there was nothing extrodinary about this hotel. The bellmen and housekeeping personnel were very pleasant, but the management, ie desk staff were very off standish and somewhat rude. Very stiff in the manner of operations. I have stayed in other hotels in Manhatten that were upscale and would stay again, but this is not one of them. For what you get the cost is too high.

Not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/7/06
I recently flew to NYC to propose to my girlfriend. I read other reviews about the hotel and various restaurants. I wanted everything to be right. The hotel had a lot to be desired upon entering. I am a young black man. I was looking for something classy, elegant and warm at the same time. This hotel seemed cold and old as far as the theme. The people that worked their were helpful but did not go out of their way. I thought for what I was paying the service would have been a bit warmer. I don't know if it was my urban appearance or the color of my skin. Hopefully it was not either. Everyone did what they were suppose to do but I was given the impression that they were glad to have me. The room had a special rate of $550. It was reg. 700 plus. It was not worth it at all. The bathroom was the best part of the room. It was nice and spacious. The room was small. A light did not work in the room. The noise from the street was easily heard. I have had better rooms. The location was excellent but other than the location and the bathroom I would pass on this hotel to make an impression.

What a find!
By Jim, 2/1/06
I come to NYC once or twice a year on business. I always used to stay at the Hilton because that's where the business is held. This year I took my colleague's advice and tried the Michelangelo and I could not be any happier. The rooms are wonderful. Large, clean and comfortable. The service is impeccable. If you need something, they will bring it to you in a couple of minutes. The big bath tub alone is worth the price. I swear the bathroom is bigger than the room at the Hilton, and the Michelangelo is about a hundred dollars a night lower. As for location, you can't get any closer to the best of Broadway. Only two blocks from the entertainment and just 4 blocks from the restaurant row on 55th Street. I will most definitely stay here again.
