Coliseum Motor Inn, East Meadow

I stayed for 3 nights a couple of years ago and didn't have anything negative to say about the place. It's conveniently located to everything and a fair price!

This is the most horrible place to stay. Smells horrible, dirty, BIG bloodstains in the bed, 4 police-cars making arrests in the reception when we arrived, hair in the tub and on the inside of the door, COCKROACHES!! Staff is rude and unhelpful. Do not stay here, it is not suitable for humans.

Would never go here again. Got stuck in this dump by Delta Airlines (an experience in its own right) and found out the next morning that two other residents (from my same canceled flight) had found large blood stains on the beds.

Kids came from Florida and I put them at Coliseum. Price was great compared to other motel. Rooms & bath were clean. Parking was easy. 10 minutes from my home. Every other motel was at least 30.00 more per night. Staff very helpful. Great resturant at same location gives discount if you are motel guest.

We arrived from New Zealand (after 24hrs traveling) early Sun morning at around 2am. The man sitting in the reception had a TV remote in his hand and didn't even turn to look in my direction but continued, with his back to me, to watch the TV that was in an adjacent room. I thought maybe it is just the hour we have arrived. The next morning was a repeat of the same rudeness. I will never stay there again as the service was about as bad as it could ever get. The room was noisy, with people in ther next room talking and laughing loudly. Goodbye Coleseum, may you always stay in the 'cheap' bracket and never rise above it as long as you have employees like him.

We had a large group that couldnt find rooms together at nearby hotels so we picked this one at random. It turned out to be very pleasant, a bit old fashioned, but clean and friendly. The location was central to everything we needed - right near the major highway, but right across from Eisenhower Park where our tournament was. Jones Beach,unknkown to us, was an unbelievalble find, and less than ten minutes away. Shopping was great, too. great price for the value and experieince we had.

I came in from California to visit family in the area and they recommended this motel. I found the staff to be very helpful, the rooms to be clean and spacious, and the location was great. Right across the street from a park, so excellent for families, and 5 minutes to Jones Beach. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was the worst I ever stayed at. For one thing there is no hot water so a shower is impossible (with things floating on the botton of the tub, who would want to take one anyway) Bathroom faucet was not fully attached to the sink, and just overall dirty. Most unusual was the TV. There was a switch on the wall marked TV, if you did not see it or switch it on nothing worked. I would never go back there again, rather sleep in Eisenhower Park across the street. They have the nerve to charge $115.00 to stay in that dump.

The rooms where not clean. The bathroom had mold and was not clean. If you are 5'10 or taller your feet will be off the bed and didn't smell good. There was no temp control on the heat or air. The one part of the motor inn they have a room in the basement they use for party's.. Well our room was above this party..They had 6hrs of loud music. They never told us when we check in. So that night there was no where to park. There security is the 65 year old housekeeper. Yes, i did try to fine a different hotel to stay in but they were all full b/c of a very big sporting event. I will never good back!

ex+++ location, comfy beds, clean, had 12 rooms from a party- very pleased, and helpful. will be back this july for another party there.rooms served its purpose
