I always come back here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/11
This place is absolutely the best. The staff is extremely attentive. Rooms all look updated and remodeled, and the new AC units in every room is a big plus as opposed to their previous central air. I always stay here on business coming from Colorado. They know me by name and treat me extremely well. This place is truly a benchmark for Best Western Hotels. The value for the price paid is amazing! Keep it up!

Great Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/11
I had a great experience at this hotel. Never been to Alamogordo before but if I visit again I know where I will stay. The place was well kept and had a real south west feel to it. The breakfast was better than I had in a while and the staff was amazing, really took an interest inmaking sure I had a great stay.

It has been remodeled!
By business traveler, 4/18/11
I have stayed at this hotel many times aswell as others in the area, sometimes like any business you find things not to standard but I keep having horrible experiences at the other hotels. Number one the staff is amazing here, they go out of there way everytime to make sure you have the best stay possible. It is a bit older hotel but they are always improving and updating(i.e. they had new air conditioners and tile in the room i stayed in). I liked the bed layout, they got rid of that uncomfortable comforter and went with a new cleaner sheeted layout, Loved It!

wonderful
Staff was very attentive and helpful. Pool was a welcome pleasure. It is outdoor though. Breakfast was more than expected for the usual complimentary fare. Place was clean, and large, with a comfy bed. Location was close to everything, and it had a nice view of the mountains out back. Would definently stay again.

Do not stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/13/08
Three of us stayed in a first floor room with a front door that would not close properly. This allowed the wind and dust (we arrived during a major dust strom) blow all afternoon and night into our room. We had paid for a rollaway bed which we did not receive. After inquiring at the front desk they said they were out of rollaways and would find something else. They provided an air mattress, which quite frankly, was probably more comfortable then the rollaway. The toilet was difficult to flush and the window in the bathroom could not be cracked open. The room appeared to be clean, however, the hotel is not modern and is overpriced for what you get.

Worst Western
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/08
Horrible is only how I can describe our stay. We checked in on a Tues.Jan 22 and out on a Thurs. Jan 24. When we arrived someone had turned the heat up to 85F and we could n't appear to be able to get it cooled off. NO AIR I think!! We stayed 2 nights as we had been traveling for days and didn't want to move again. What can it be like in the summer?? Would I stay there again??? NO WAY !!! I think they should no longer be a Best Western. Alberta Canada

a refreshing experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/07
real value for what you spend. Excellent location. The staff here seems like they are your family. They went out of their way to assist us and i look forward to seeing them the next time i am here. There is no question about it. My experience here was better than any other Best Western I have been to in the last couple of years. I travel a lot and I will come back here if I am in Alamogordo.

Don't go there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/26/06
This hotel smells, is old, falling apart, and the pool looks like a forest puddle. For the amount you pay, there are better hotels in Alamogordo for sure. Our room was not dirty, but it was extremely run down; the windows wouldn't open properly, the air conditioning couldn't be regulated, the walls were paper thin, and the staff didn't respond on the two occasions we complained. If this is what the Best Western chain is like, I would highly recommend not using it. And if it's just this hotel, then the smell in the lobby should be enough to make you turn round and go somewhere else.

This place is awesome! The rooms were really clean, the internet actually works unlike other hotels, and the staff was very professional and courteous. If I ever go back to Alamogordo, I would stay here.
