Historic Pow Wow Inn, Tucumcari

The PowWow allows pets! It's clean, got a pool, and a great restaurant with fine Mexican food. It is rustic Route 66 being restored, and a good stop for us on I40.

I hadn't any exspections as to what to expect from this establishment, however, I was content to enjoy the solotude which this place had to offer. I am looking forward in returning in the summer of 2007.

This place is a complete blast and where the party is AT for the annual mother road rally!! Staying or going anywhere else is just not even worth it. The management was amazing very nice staff and just an all around ton of fun for the run. I highly recommend getting your reservations the year in advance for the rally so that you will have a room. It's worth it! I can't wait to get back there for this year. June 16-18 2006.

We began our trip eating there and staying someplace else. Well, after we decided to dance with the live bands music, things turned a bit wild. Needless to say we were unable to drive back to our hotel, upon calling the other hotel we found out they don't offer rides. So the Pow Wow drove us back to our own hotel, the next day we checked out and checked into the Pow Wow. Anyone who will help some one elses customer out is alright in my book.

My two sons and I happened upon this inn, while we were driving cross country. We could not have found a better place to rest, relax and have a good meal. The food was served buffet style and very tasty. We kept eating long after we were full simply to taste everything which was on the buffet! We found out that if we had been there in the evening, a drink at the cosy bar would have included the evening buffet free. We did not stay overnight at the inn, but kept on driving home. I think that if the rest of the place is run as well as the dining room and bar, it would also be excellent. And we could see a billion stars when the sun went down! Carl Sagan would have loved it!

Can you say cockroaches? I hope they've cleaned it up.
